I made a decision tonight that could make marketing my photography business a little harder.
I’m okay with that.
After reading about a recent Seventh Circuit ruling involving AI-generated imagery of children, I started thinking about generative AI, publicly accessible photographs, and what responsibility I have when the person in front of my camera is someone else’s child.
And I kept coming back to two things:
Parents should get to make this choice and just because I "can" does it mean that I "should".
So, for the time being, MAJECK will no longer show identifiable children's faces in publicly posted sneak peeks. When it comes to putting your child's face into a public space, I would rather hand that decision back to you.
