This past week I had the opportunity to go out and visit with my Grandpa for a monumental birthday. He's poured so much into each and every one of us, I had to spend some time reflecting on the trip and the lifetime of memories (and so many more to come). Some of the best parts of photographing events for me is getting to photograph the food and beverages. I’m a foodie at heart with a love for cooking and baking myself, and find such joy in getting to make other people’s creations (which are already stunning) stand out. I’m already obsessed with this family’s gallery and I’ve only edited and sent the sneak peeks 😍. It’s such a privilege as a photographer to get to step into a space with individuals and families where you can witness their changing seasons, their raw personalities, and celebrate their wins and next chapters with them. Though I do fall in love a little bit every time I edit a gallery it’s about more than that- it’s about the human connection and the stories told through the images.
