In case you missed last week's Focus at Photo Jam:

Photograph two subjects in the same frame, but pay close attention to the space between them.

Distance can suggest closeness, tension, separation, awkwardness, independence, longing, or emotional disconnect. The people (or objects, or animals) do not need to be interacting directly. The composition alone should create the feeling.

Experiment with physical proximity, negative space, and positioning until the relationship feels visually interesting.

Bill Armstrong's photographs remind us that photography isn't always about clarity. By intentionally blurring his images, he transforms color into the subject itself, blending hues into dreamlike compositions that feel like memories.

His work invites us to look beyond what's literally there and experience color, emotion, and free our imaginations.

Month by month, through guided themes and a supportive community, members discover that creativity grows when connection is stronger.
