Never having to leave your home to get the family photos of your dreams. Let the kiddos play, the dogs jump around, and let the kiddos run. No bribing kiddos to smile, or tantrums about having to stay still.

Showing up to a session where the plan is NOT to have a plan, will always lead to magic. Where we let the kids decide, what we play, have snack, snuggle, jump on the couch, and play in the dirt.

It feels like home; it feels like you.

Less tantrums, stress, and pressure for "perfect" lets your kids be themselves & enjoy the session, because we aren't just taking photos: we are making memories.

Sweet little man found some fresh citrus in the kitchen and they became the obsession of the day, instead of taking them away, they happily carried them around throughout the entire session.

Don't stress the little things. Enjoy the perfectly imperfect. 🍋🍋‍🟩

Thinking back to cool spring greens, & the ability to walk through my garden without completely MELTING.

I've always been drawn to water. The way an entire day or scenario can be shifted by adding even just little bitwater. A five dollar baby pool, a small creek for tadpole hunting, a body of water waiting to surround you, or even a water hose in the backyard.

Some of my strongest memories were born from water. As I spent my childhood, I watch my children play: Barefoot, feet squishing in wet grass & dancing in the rain.

This maternity session took a magical turn, what started as helping mom water the vegetable garden at the end of their session led to a full blown water fight & wet babies eating popsicles on the porch. ✨

This weekend was my five year olds dance recital. While waiting for her turn to dance, "What a wonderful world," came on. It's truly one of my favorites. She took my hand in hers & laced our fingers, leaning her head on my shoulder. She looked up at me and told me she loved me and proceeded to sing along with the song.

I may have let a tear or two fall. I couldn't help it. Because honestly, it's up to us to make this their wonderful world. As mothers, it's our job to create kind and loving humans. To teach them and to love them, so that one day they can teach and love us right back.

What a wonderful, wonderful world.
