For a while I wasn’t sure what I wanted this space to be. I knew I loved photography I just hadn’t found the words for why.
Somewhere along the way I realized the photos I treasure most aren’t the perfectly posed ones.
They’re the way your daughter reaches for your hand without thinking, the way your husband looks at you when you’re laughing, the chaos of getting everyone out the door, the quiet moments at home that don’t feel extraordinary until years later.
That’s the kind of photography I want to create. Not just beautiful images. Stories you’ll return to when the details begin to fade.
So if you’re new here-or it’s been a while—hi. I’m Alysa. Im a Columbia SC photographer documenting couples and family with an honest, nostalgic approach. My sessions are relaxed and centered around connection instead of perfection.
Whether we’re wandering through a field at sunset, making pancakes on a Saturday morning, or chasing little feet around your backyard, my hope is that years from now these photographs won’t just remind you what life looked like…
They’ll remind you exactly how it felt.
