My name is Danielle and I’m a wife, mother of two, and photographer located in the Mid-Missouri area that specializes in Birth Photography/Videography, Fresh 48 sessions and capturing babies and families in a lifestyle, natu

ral environment. I am all about those precious little details from the soft hair on your little one’s head down to their tiny little toes. I began my journey with Birth Photography almost 6 years ago and haven’t stopped since. I have photographed over 150 births now and it is not only my passion but I am a strong advocate for all things pregnancy, birth and postpartum related. I love documenting one of the most life changing times in your life and I will tell you this, its something you will cherish forever and will want to look back on over and over again. I’m dedicated to my birth work and I go on-call with my clients 24/7 the weeks surrounding their due date. I will support you with your wants, needs and fully capture what you would like, being very modest to completely detailed. I capture your unique story, and when you are at home cuddling on that sweet little one of yours looking at those images, you will see so much beauty and see a YOU you've never seen before. A beautiful, powerful, transformed mother in the throes of the most intense pain and love you will ever feel.

On the hottest day of the year, with sweat pouring down and the air thick with humidity, these women stood tall. They supported each other, bare skin, real bodies, no filters, no hiding. From stretch marks to scars, from postpartum bellies to vitiligo, we were fierce, we were real, and we took up space.

This Women We Are event I held is just the beginning of what I planned to hold for women all over Mid-Missouri. Thank you ladies for bearing your souls, the crazy heat, your stretch marks, scars, and in that vulnerability, I hope you felt held and this helped reclaim your power.

Motherhood is not the disappearance of the woman.

It is her becoming.

There is a version of pregnancy that we see everywhere, the carefully posed belly, the flowing dress, the perfect sunset, the hands gently resting over the bump and a big smile looking directly at the camera.

And there is another version.

The one that feels less polished.
More instinctive.
More connected to the earth.

The woman who doesn’t need to hide her body to be beautiful. The woman who can be sensual, powerful, vulnerable, primal and completely herself, all at once.

I want to document that woman.

Not just the pregnancy.
Not just the belly.
The becoming.

This is the kind of work I want to make more of with Her Origin, photography that remembers women in all of their seasons, not just the ones that are easy to photograph.

Because maybe we were never meant to tame the womanhood out of motherhood.

Maybe we were meant to return to it.

This image I captured recently feels like becoming.

Not finished.
Not fully emerged.
Still deep in the cocoon.

Her Origin is still in that place for me. I’m growing into this new chapter, learning what this work wants to become, and allowing myself the space to evolve rather than rushing to have it all figured out.

And while I’m in this season of becoming, I am constantly reminded that I am not creating in isolation.

There are women who continue to trust me with their stories. Clients who invite me into their most intimate seasons. Friends, family, and fellow creatives who continue to love on my work, share it, encourage me, and remind me that what I’m creating matters.

That support has been the soil beneath this little cocoon. 🤎

My approach to documenting women has always been less about creating something perfectly posed and more about preserving something felt. The rawness. The softness. The strength. The mess. The quiet moments in between. The connection between a woman and her body, her baby, her motherhood, and the woman she is becoming.

I want my photographs to feel like raw connection, not performances.

Her Origin is still growing. And so am I.

Maybe that’s the most honest part of this whole process.

Soaking up these last few weeks of summer. 🌻 Tonight, we have our last full moon until we see it again in the fall. I’m working on another special project this evening that’s part of the rebranding for Her Origin, and I’m so excited to share it with you soon!

I didn’t even realize I had scheduled it during this period of the full moon eclipse, but here we are. Isn’t it funny how this works? ✨

I’ve been stepping into this new chapter the last few months, and I’m beyond excited to share more of it with you. After so much reflection and growth, this rebrand is a homecoming. Her Origin is here, inviting us all to see and celebrate the wild, powerful journeys of motherhood, transformation, and expansion. This change has come during a time of personal growth, healing and expansion myself and this journey is starting to feel so aligned. Where there is death, new life emerges.

As part of this launch, I’ll be offering special deals on my “Womb & Woman” sessions, documenting the body, the becoming, and the woman beneath it all. Maternity shoots that honor the fierce power of women. This name, this work, has been waiting for me, and I can’t wait to help you tell your story.

Hey ladies, I want to share something so crucial in birth work, having a backup. When you’re walking this path, knowing you have a trusted backup doula and a photographer in my case is a game changer. I’ve got you covered. Even though I’ve only used a back up twice in 10+ years doing birth work, it’s so nice to have that reassurance that you have someone there if needed for yourself and your client.

This gallery you’re about to see was captured by me and my incredible backup Sadie with Everbearing Doula Services, who stepped in so seamlessly towards the end so she can provide a fresh pair of hands, support and eye to capture these moments for her. As I edited the images to fit my style I was in awe of those images she captured. 🥹 Can’t thank her enough!

And let me tell you about this mama, her first baby, and she was so strong. She labored unmedicated for so long, riding each contraction in the tub, in the shower, on the bed, squatting, standing and was fully present through it all. When she chose that therapeutic epidural, it was a powerful moment, not a failure, but a gift of rest before the final push. I’m so honored to have been part of her journey, and so grateful for the amazing team by my side.
