Love Tree Studios

Love Tree Studios We are your story tellers, memory keepers, light capturers. Your wedding is our favorite day and we believe in the forever kind of love.

We want to welcome you and thank you for taking the time to become a part of the Love Tree Studios experience. My portfolio expresses timeless memories that I have been blessed to capture. Love Tree Studios is owned by Aubrey Rowden. Hailing from the heart of Mid America - Columbia, MO- I've established 18 years of experience documenting the requests of countless events and beautiful faces. With a

BFA in Photography under my belt and a passion like no other, I've been equipped to bring your vision to the next level! I utilize the natural lighting of the outdoors as well as the controlled lighting of indoor sessions. You will be able to enjoy a very personable atmosphere that encourages your heightened creativity and rewards you with a memorable experience during your sessions. My approach to my work takes on that of fine art portrait and wedding photography. Fine Art Photography is photography with a modern approach where design is paramount. You will find traditional clean shots interwoven throughout, but the real story about your day is what I desire to capture through an artistic perspective. My time with you will be drenched in serious fun with a beautiful and dramatic outcome. As your photographer, I am excited to work with you to realize your vision. As an artist, I hope to encourage the intensity of all that you can imagine. I look forward to the honor and privilege it will be to work with you and to document these wonderful moments in your lives! xx,
Aubrey

Five things that weren’t on the shot list.

The five seconds before he walked out the door.
A letter she read alone in a quiet room.
Hands adjusting a veil without anyone asking.
A kiss no one else in the room was watching for.
An embrace that wasn’t planned but became one of my favorites from the whole day.

This is the part of a wedding day I’m always watching for. It’s not just what’s on the timeline, but everything happening quietly around it.

Addie and DeDe kept cracking each other up the whole time we shot their portraits, and I didn’t have to ask for a single one of these moments. They just kept giving them to me. We ended up at the Missouri State Capitol that day, and the building did us a favor with all that stone and light, but honestly, these two would have made any backdrop work.

Newport, Rhode Island. Shooting alongside the brilliant Twah Dougherty was one of those experiences I’ll carry with me for a long time. Kate in that dress, in that light. Honestly one of my favorite days.

I don’t direct a lot while a bride is getting ready. I prefer to hang back, capture the event as it unfolds naturally and wait for those in-between moments. When I worked with Megan, I chose to stay quiet and watch as she went through the process of preparing for her day. These are two of my favorites from her day. The mirror did half the work, I just had to be in the right spot. Getting ready is where I feel most like myself as a photographer. No posing, no prompting. Just watching. 🤍

Love Tree Studios was just featured in City & Beach Magazine, an international luxury wedding publication with readers in London, Los Angeles, and Paris.

They asked me about my work, my clients, and what drives me after two decades behind the lens. I'll be honest, seeing it in print made me a little emotional.

A few of my favorite things I got to say:

"Film photography is what first made me fall in love with this craft, and that foundation still informs everything I do."

"What I create isn't a record of a wedding day. It's a feeling you can hold in your hands."

To every couple who has trusted me with your day, to the vendors who have collaborated with me, and to this community that has cheered me on. This one's for you!

I love a wedding that feels this personal.

Vivi & Jerry chose an intentional afternoon at the Municipal Courthouse, surrounded by a handful of their favorite people…and of course their pups Hops and Barley dressed for the occasion.

After their ceremony, we lingered on the steps, laughed through portraits, and let the day unfold naturally. Nothing overcomplicated. Nothing rushed. Just meaningful moments and the beginning of a new chapter.

This is why I adore intimate weddings. There is so much space to actually feel it all.
