A few weeks ago, I had the privelage of taking graduation pictures for these two wonderful souls! I would love for you to get to know them!
Next year, Jonathan will be attending UNC-Chapel Hill where he will be pursuing a Masters of Public Administration. He says, "My dream is to pursue a career of public service, I want to help create government that is seen as a positive and flexible force for addressing the challenges of the 21st century. The best advice I can give is to try your best to be optimistic. Looking back, I don’t even remember why I let myself feel so stressed or upset over the little things. In the end, it really will all work out for the best."
Samantha will be taking a year or so to work and figure out what grad programs she potentially wants to apply for. She says, "I hope to do something with environmental policy, maybe one day leading to a career with a government agency or government relations for an environmental group." Her advice to college students: "Student organizations can be a great way to expand your horizons, and they really can give meaning to your time in college. Take a couple PE classes, you can learn great skills and they aren't as scary as they seem. If your program allows it and you have time, do a few internships. It helps you focus on what you want to do after graduation and can help you shape your path while still being in undergrad. Ultimately, have fun with it."
