Did slate etchings for these performers on our Back to Back Carnival Mardi Gras cruises. They were very appreciative of the gesture.

I told them if I ever had another cruise with them I’d have another gift…not letting them know we would be with them the next week. They were shocked to see us the second week and always played one of our favorite songs in our honor.

Extremely talented musicians from different countries that have only performed together for six months but you’d think they have been together for years.

We went 6000 miles round trip to Greenland last month and didn’t see Northman lights. Drove one mile tonight to Lake Murray dam and captured this. 🤪

I enjoy doing slate etchings. During a recent cruise I found that we had a passenger who would be bringing their service dog. The human has a heart condition that her companion is able to monitor and alert her to. I was able to give this etchings to her on the cruise.

While most everyone loved seeing the two of them together, she did encounter a few rude people who didn’t think she “looked disabled”. To one rude person she replied that “you don’t look stupid, yet here we are”. Loved it!!! So if you see someone with a service dog, remember they are at work (don’t ask to pet) and a big help to their human. Don’t judge someone because they don’t appear a certain way to you.
