Happy Labor Day! ❤️🤍💙

Today we celebrate the hard work, dedication, and contributions of workers everywhere.

But Labor Day can also be a wonderful reminder to slow down and appreciate the people who make our everyday lives special—the parents working hard for their families, the grandparents always showing up, the teachers shaping young lives, and all the people whose work often happens behind the scenes.

Today, take a moment to enjoy the people around you.

Make memories. Laugh a little longer. Take the family photo. 📸

Because when all is said and done, the moments we make with the people we love are some of the greatest rewards of all.

📖 Once upon a time…

There was a family who loved each other deeply.

There were bedtime stories, little hands turning pages, sleepy cuddles, silly voices, and favorite books read so many times that everyone knew the words by heart.

Those are the stories that become memories.

And someday, the little ones who listen to those stories may be the grown-ups who look back and wish they could experience those moments one more time. ❤️

✔️ Be productive every second of the day

Sometimes you just need coffee, comfy clothes, a quiet moment, and permission to do absolutely nothing. ☕️🛋️

And honestly? Those imperfect, everyday moments are part of your family's story, too.

I’ve seen a lot of posts circulating about AI and photographers choosing to stop sharing photos of children, and I wanted to share my perspective.

I absolutely believe AI needs stronger regulation, especially when it comes to protecting children. But I also think we need to be careful about creating fear without looking at the bigger picture.

Think about how many places photos of our children already exist digitally. We take them on our phones, back them up to the cloud, text them to family, upload them to galleries, post them on social media and share them through apps.

And it raises a bigger question: Are we expecting every photographer who has ever shared a child to go back years and delete every image? What about parents, grandparents, friends, schools, daycares, sports teams and organizations that have posted those same children?

That’s why I don’t believe this issue is as simple as “stop posting kids.”

I believe in being cautious. I believe parents should have complete control over whether I share their children. And if you EVER tell me you don’t want your child posted, I will respect that, no explanation necessary.

But I also won’t use fear surrounding AI and make parents feel terrified about something that is much more complicated than a Facebook post.

I’ll continue sharing my work while respecting every family’s wishes, just as I always have. Protecting children matters. So does giving parents accurate information and allowing them to make the choice that’s right for their family. 🤍
