When was the last time you had a family photo taken?

Was it a long first year of the kids being away at college?

Time goes way too fast for the " We will do it later"

Grab the family and lets find a date to finally do these!

Before or after the summer vacations. (Or, if you are at a close beach, let me know!)

This is your sign. DM me, call or email.

Some wedding photos are beautiful because of the location, the dress, or the details.

Some are beautiful because they remind you exactly how it felt.

The laughter that couldn’t be posed.
The five minutes when the timeline didn’t matter.
The moment they stopped thinking about photos and just enjoyed being together.

Years from now, this image won’t remind them of how the room looked.

It will remind them of who they were on that day.

That’s the kind of moment worth holding onto. ❤️

I’m always watching for the moments happening around the big moments. Ones most won’t notice happening. These are the pieces of the story that often become the most meaningful.

There’s something about the moment right before ceremony begins that feels impossible to put words.
The anticipation. The nerves. The quiet realization that life is about to change forever.
They didn’t want to see each other before the wedding. They wanted to save that moment for the aisle. But they still wanted this.
A touch. A voice. A deep breath together before everything began.
No audience. No performance. Just two people standing on opposite sides of the doorway, holding onto one another for one small moment before becoming husband and wife.
I think sometimes these are the moments people remember most. The ones in between. The ones that aren’t planned for tradition sake, but because they feel right.
Your wedding day doesn’t have to fit perfectly into someone else’s timeline or expectations. You can honor tradition, break tradition, or create something entirely your own.
The most meaningful moments usually happen when you do what feels true to you.

Lately I have been photographing more lifestyle sessions, and I think it’s because I am craving real moments over perfectly curated ones.

Not AI generated perfection. Not overly posed moments that don’t feel like you. Connection, emotion, excitement, and all the little in-between moments that come with the season of life.

There’s something really special about photographing people waiting for their baby. The excitement, the anticipation, the quiet moments where it all starts to feel real.

That’s the kind of stuff. I never want people to forget.

I think the older I get, the more important photographs become.

Not because life has to look perfect.
But because it moves so fast.

That’s also why I love photographing people in their own environment, where things are real, comfortable, unscripted, and fully theirs.

The little moments we think we’ll always remember eventually fade into the background of busy lives, growing families, and passing time.

Photographs let us hold onto pieces of our lives that would otherwise quietly disappear.

I still love the moments that happen in between everything else.
The quick glance.
The nerves.
The tiny shift and expression nobody planned for.
And the way he’s looking at her while she listens. Completely enamored without even realizing anyone can see it.

That’s the kind of stuff that makes a photograph alive years later.

Mother’s Day hits different these days.

Being a mom was the role that shaped me. It taught me love, sacrifice, worry, pride, and how fast time really moves. But becoming a grandmother opened up a whole different kind of love that I never expected. Softer somehow. Slower. More emotional in ways I can’t even explain.

Watching this little boy grow feels like getting pieces of life back all over again. The wonder, the tiny moments, the way they look at you like you are their whole world.

And while I’m beyond grateful to be celebrated as a mom and grandmother, Mother’s Day will always carry a little ache too. Missing my own mom never really goes away. Some days it sits quietly and other days it feels loud.

So today feels like all of it wrapped together. Love. Gratitude. Memories. Missing people. Holding tighter to the ones still here.

These photos mean more to me than people probably realize.
