A quiet moment (well besides the waves) from our last early morning walk down the beach. I spotted this fisherman on our way out and caught another frame on the way back. There was something really peaceful about him standing out there all by his lonesome as the morning moved along and the rain started creeping in.

Being a huge fan of the blues, I can’t see a smokestack and not hear Howlin’ Wolf playing in my head.
This image is from my trip back to Southwest VA this past January for my uncle’s funeral. Staying right across the street from Radford University, my old employer, brought back a whole flood of memories from twenty years ago as I watched the steam rise into the cold morning air.
