I unequivocally stand with Cam Newton on this because the ratings will be off the roof. They are going to make a lot of money off him just playing on their team especially if he gets some PT.

Cam Newton is calling a $5.5 million NFL contract "Pennies," saying teams aren't about to "Penny-pinch" him into coming out of retirement for that amount:

The former NFL MVP, who hasn't played since the 2021 season, says it would be "A waste of time" to return to the league for that kind of money.

Cam: “You’re not about to sit up there and penny-pinch me. I’m not about to sit up here and sign no $5.5 million deal. Those days are over with. I’ll be wasting my time.”

Newton explained that football is no longer his top priority. The 37-year-old says he'd rather spend time with his seven children—taking them to school, football practice, tennis and cheer—than come back for an offer he doesn't believe is worth leaving his family.

Newton made it clear he's not desperate to play again. If an NFL team wants him back, they'll have to make an offer that reflects what he believes he's worth.

ESPN has initiated a significant round of staff reductions, including on-air talent and behind-the-scenes production personnel, following the integration of NFL Network assets. Prominent figures, including Ryan Clark and Karl Ravech, are among those departing in a restructuring that aims to eliminate redundant roles across the company's media operations.

Ryan Clark went off against Cam about Steve A, and ESPN keyholed em and let his ass go. Kissing them folks ahhs & they let you go. 💭 Thoughts?
