I almost didn’t post these pictures because of how my belly is a little bloated from lunch. How freaking sad is that. I’m so excited to show my hair off, I love this dress, but my nourished body made me wince. This is something I’m working on a lot with myself this summer because I put on about 15 pounds during covid, so I want to share a few things that I tell myself when I’m feeling not so confident in my body!

•your body is the LEAST interesting thing about you (it’s literally just a skin sac that houses your beautiful soul)

•when you’re out with your friends, are you focused on their cellulite on their thighs or their belly rolls? No. No one is looking at you like you think they are.

•do you really want to look back on your life and think about how you missed out on so much joy because you were so worried about your body?

•we are on a floating rock in the middle of space, IT DOESN’T MATTER!!!!!

Please do yourself a favor and give your beautiful body a little hug. It got you through a pandemic. It may have created some new little humans. It let you eat your favorite food. So get in the pool, wear the shorts, and show a little love to yourself 💘

I’ve been struggling to make this post, but it’s what’s best for me right now.

I’m taking a step back from photography for this year and maybe next. This doesn’t mean that I’m completely stopping, and if you already have a wedding or session scheduled with me you’re still booked, so no worries there!

I love this job, I love my clients, I wish I could do 10 sessions a week, but I just need a break. When I was in high school, I was doing extra curriculars and taking college classes. When I was in college I was constantly studying while also building this business and I didn’t really give myself any time for friends or family. Now I work 35 hours a week as a dental hygienist and I still haven’t been giving myself time to actually live and spend time with family and friends that I’ve missed so dearly. I’m always saying no to plans, missing big events in my loved ones lives, so I just need a break.

So what to expect from here on out is delayed responses to messages, limited availability, almost all sessions will be in the Columbus area unless there is a special request for a location, and I won’t be posting nearly as much.

Please don’t hesitate to ask me about doing a session because I am not totally quitting, and I will have some availability, just not as much as previously! I’m so thankful for each and every one of my clients and I’m so thankful to be able to do what I love, but I just need a little more time to live, that’s all.

Since these photos kind of look like album covers, here’s to album #22.

It’s unwritten as of right now. I’ve only been writing it for about 6 days since my birthday was on the 4th, but I do have hopes for the tracks, the melodies, and the lyrics of it.

I hope one track is dedicated to conquering my mental health. I started my first day of therapy on Thursday, so I’m optimistic that’ll be one of them. The song may not be the number one hit, as it’ll have high notes and low notes, but it’ll be beautiful nonetheless.

I hope another is a love song, if not two. I hope one builds in intensity and ends on an Ariana grande/Mariah Carey-like high note. I hope the other is slow and tender and feels like a soft kiss.

I hope one is an upbeat adventurous song that you would blare when you’re sticking your head out of the sunroof while going through a tunnel. I hope it embodies excitement, and truly living.

I don’t have an outline for the rest, really no plans. Album #21 showed me that i really can’t plan anything, and I have to take it one line at a time.

So if you’ll excuse me, I’m busy writing the intro 🖤
