Your hair and makeup artist is ready and waiting for you.

Beautiful wardrobe options have already been pulled for you and your entire family.

The studio is stocked with everything your baby might need.

You get to sit back, relax, sip your coffee, and soak in those tiny newborn snuggles while I take care of the rest.

No shopping. No planning. No having to search on Pinterest and no wondering if you’re forgetting something. Just you and your family, exactly as you are in this season.

Because every parent knows those first few weeks are exhausting enough, you shouldn’t have to add “plan a photo session” to your already overflowing plate.

All you have to do is show up and focus on being mom to your new little one.

This sweet session was actually a Mother’s Day gift from Dad, and I don’t know if there’s a more meaningful gift than memories like these.

As moms, we’re usually the ones making all of the plans. Coordinating schedules, shopping for outfits, making sure everyone else has what they need. Even when it comes to family photos, the mental load almost always falls on us.

One of my favorite parts of this experience is taking that off Mom’s plate.

Wardrobe for the whole family. Hair and makeup. Location planning. Guidance every step of the way. She didn’t have to stress about a single detail. She just got to show up and be present with the people she loves most.

This little guy was full of personality, the family even nicknamed him the “ham and cheese sandwich” because of his smiles! ❤️ We embraced all of the little things that make this season what it is.

The running, the giggles, alllllll the silly faces, and yes, even the toddler opinions. 😂

My goal for family sessions is to have it be a relaxed and FUN time. Let the kids run around and be themselves. That’s how you get these genuine smiles and interactions. Those are the moments I hope they remember years from now.

I’m so grateful they have these memories from this season of life, exactly as it is right now. ❤️

I’ve been trying to write this post for days and I still don’t know exactly what to say.

About a week ago we said goodbye to our sweet Gunner.

He was almost 17 years old, which feels crazy to even type out. He was there before this business became what it is today. Before the studio and before a lot of you even knew me. He was even part of our family before our youngest son Devyn was born. He was there through military moves, raising four kids, late nights editing after everyone had gone to bed, and all of the chaos in between.

He was so smart and absolutely loved food and baby carrots. He loved to chase squirrels and bunnies, the sprinklers, light reflections, lasers, little remote control helicopters, basically everything 😂 He always thought someone was about to feed him. And even though over the past year he had become our little old man who had slowed down a lot and didn’t really want to play anymore, the house feels so incredibly quiet without him.

I had planned to share something exciting with all of you this past week, but I just wasn’t ready or in the right headspace to be super excited about what’s coming.

One of the things this past week has reminded me of is just how grateful I am for the photos and videos of the ordinary moments… the ones where nobody looks perfect, when the kids were little and the dog is following them around. The moments you don’t realize you’ll miss until one day you do.

So if I can leave you with anything today, let it be this: Take the picture and record the video, even if your house is messy and everyone is wearing mismatched pajamas.

You’ll never regret having them 💛

And thank you for loving on our family this past week and for giving me a little space as I navigate both sadness and some exciting things happening behind the scenes.

Goodbye Gunner, you were just the best boy ❤️

When I first picked up a camera, I never could have imagined any of this. I wasn’t thinking about a studio or awards. I wasn’t dreaming about having my work published or anything like that.

I really just loved documenting the people I cherished the most, capturing my kids just as they were, so that way my husband wouldn’t miss too much while he was deployed.

Somewhere along the way, that little creative outlet I picked up became a business and eventually a full time career.

For nearly 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of documenting families through some of the most meaningful seasons of their lives.

Their wedding. Then their first baby, and eventually their growing family. Their “baby’s” senior year.

The moments that feel ordinary today but end up becoming priceless as time goes on.

Lately I’ve really been reflecting on just how much this journey has changed my life, and how excited I am for what’s coming next.

Make sure to watch June 8th for something that I’ve been wanting to do for years but has just never felt like the right time, until now ✨

This little stage gets me every time. You'd think after nearly 15 years and over 500 newborns photographed that I might stop being so in awe of these tiny little ones, but it hasn't happened yet (and I doubt it ever will lol)

The way they curl up like this, those tiny fingers, the soft cheeks. They are just so new, and it does not last long.

I always tell parents this is the stage that changes the fastest.

That is why I keep my sessions really calm and baby led. You do not have to worry about what to bring or how it all works. I take care of all of that so you can just come in and be with your baby.

And we get to capture them exactly like this 🤍

There’s something really special about this in-between season.

You’re waiting, preparing, imagining what life is about to look like… and everything feels like it’s about to change.

It’s such a beautiful time, but it also goes by so quickly.

That’s why I love creating a space where you can slow down for a bit and just take it in, without overthinking anything.

Everything is taken care of for you… from what to wear to how everything comes together so you can just be present in it.

And long after your baby is here, you’ll be able to look back on this season with so much love and feel so grateful you took the time to capture it.

One of the biggest shifts for me over the years has been realizing that it’s not just about the images themselves…

It’s what happens after.

The photos you walk past every day.
The ones your kids grow up seeing.
The ones that don’t get lost on a phone somewhere.

That part of the process has become just as important to me as the session itself.

Some of my favorite parts of what I do are helping you choose what you love, designing something that fits your home, and making sure these moments actually live on in a meaningful way.

One of the most common questions I get is when to schedule newborn photos.

The sweet spot is usually within the first couple of weeks, when babies are still so tiny and sleepy.

But the part most people don’t realize is that booking ahead of time is what makes everything feel easy.

I plan sessions based on your due date, so there’s flexibility if your baby decides to come a little early or a little late.

That way once your baby is here, it’s one less thing you have to think about.

You can just settle in and enjoy those first days… knowing everything is already taken care of 🤍
