Sorry for how long it has been (2 years 😭) but I had to take a pause for several reasons, one being my original trusty work horse camera had stopped functioning properly.

I now have a new camera and ready to tackle a new city and journey with this business.

It is now officially September.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Unfortunately I, and Thousands of other parents have had to hear the dreaded words "Your child has Cancer" ....

Thankfully I, unlike thousands of other parents, was able to bring my child home CANCER FREE after 8 month in-patient treatment.

Childhood Cancer only gets 3.8% of funding for research into new and better medicines....right now children are getting adult strength chemo

The American Cancer Society only provides less than 4% of funding for CHILDREN.

*Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with childhood cancer

*1 in 5 children who have cancer won't make it through treatment

*80% of childhood cancer survivors will develop life threatening side effects from TREATMENT and NOT CANCER

*More than 300,000 children last year alone were diagnosed and THOUSANDS of them DIED from childhood cancer

*In honor of the warriors who are depending on Only three new drugs that have been approved to treat childhood cancers in the last 20+ years due to a lack of funding for research to make them LIVE

*CHILDHOOD CANCER is THE lowest funded form of cancer research, that is now this countries #1 killer of our kids over ALL diseases.

In Honor of all of these children .....
and in an attempt to help bring awareness to this not so rare disease....

J.R. Wellington Photography will be DONATING 50% of each photo session done in September to smaller Foundations who DO care about and bust their butts at making sure that the children and their families have support through out the journey.

These foundations have done, and even continue to do, a LOT for my family through my 2 year old son's journey, and they help hundreds to thousands of families a year.

They do more than the federally funded program for our children.

If you would like a photo session for your family, yourself, a friend, etc. ALL SESSION TYPES 50% of the proceeds will be donated from sessions done through out the month of September.
