The Night Before. 🤍

I have been loving documenting more wedding weekends lately, especially when they begin with a rehearsal dinner.

There’s something so special about the night before. It’s where everyone finally arrives, welcome hugs are exchanged, heartfelt toasts are shared, and the excitement for the wedding day starts to settle in. These moments become just as much a part of the story as the wedding itself.

Ella and Lee’s evening at The Surf Club in Wrightsville Beach was the perfect beginning to their wedding weekend. From emotional speeches to the band surprising Lee by inviting him on stage to play the drums, every part of the night reflected who they are and the people they love most.

Wedding weekends like these are such a reminder that some of the most meaningful moments happen before you ever walk down the aisle.

Soft blues, coastal light, and thoughtful details in every direction. 💙

This reception on Bald Head Island is one of my favorites. From the custom tent draping and patterned linens, soft blue glassware, the sweetest es**rt cards featuring the couple’s dog, and florals that echoed the coast, every detail felt so thoughtfully chosen. Together, they created a reception that felt timeless, relaxed, and perfectly at home on the Carolina coast.

Design like this deserves to be remembered just as much as the memories made around it.

The newest Mr. and Mrs. Jackson. 🤍

Ella and Lee’s wedding day this past weekend at a private estate in Wilmington, North Carolina was truly so special to be part of.

One of the greatest honors as a wedding photographer is being trusted by someone within the wedding industry to document their own wedding day, so the fact that Ella is a wedding planner herself made this celebration especially meaningful to me.

Beyond how beautiful everything was, what stood out most was the joy surrounding these two all day long. From their closest friends to their families, every part of the day felt so welcoming, heartfelt, and full of genuine celebration.

There are far too many favorite moments from this day to fit into one post, but I’m so excited to finally share a glimpse into such an incredible wedding weekend.

While I was in New York, told me that my grid was due to see my face again, so here we are. 🤭

Truthfully I’m much more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it, but I’ve been making more of an effort to show a little more of myself on here.

May is one of my busiest months this year, so life lately has looked like long editing days, packing and unpacking suitcases, and getting ready this week to head back to North Carolina for another beautiful wedding weekend.

Feeling very thankful for this season of life!

It’s officially wedding month for Charlie and Dana so sharing their sweet engagement photos to celebrate.

It was absolutely freezing and windy the night of their engagement session in Wilmington, but they trusted the process, leaned into it, and made the whole night feel easy and fun anyway. Those are always my favorite kinds of sessions and my favorite kinds of couples.

I have a feeling their wedding at Brooklyn Art Center is going to be something really special. 🤍
