Meet Sophia! This girl is fully committed to her PINK era, so much that even her Jeep goes by Roscoe and matches the vibe completely. We shot her session at Quarry Trails Metro Park in Columbus, Ohio, the new fan favorite, and every outfit change brought a different side of her out, sweet and soft one minute, a little fiery and the next. She walked in owning it from the first image with no warm up and posing as if she'd done this a hundred times!

Layton walked in with a plan, and the vibe was city everything! City lights, big town feel and including what was important to him; his varsity jacket in as many shots as we could manage.

So that's what we did. Downtown Columbus, and one guy that looked so natural, he looked like he belonged there. Nothing trendy, nothing overdone. Just Layton doing the urban thing!

Tori's summer session was proof that easy and girly can still make a huge style statement.

She kept every outfit change light and breezy: a black dress with just enough movement to catch the wind, white pants paired with a blush pink top that had the best texture, and a long flowy white skirt with a chocolate fitted top and her violin to close it out. Every single look felt like her!

She was also just so easy to work with, the kind of senior who says yes to an idea and runs with it. Sessions like hers are the ones I look forward to all summer. xo

Confident and a little sassy one minute, soft and sweet the next, Lanie brought ALL of it to her senior session in German Village and somehow made it look easy. The cobblestone streets and brick backdrops did not hurt either. This is why I could shoot German Village every single week and never get bored of it. Incredible day with you and your mom girl!! xoxo

Barrett walked into his senior session and immediately made it easy. Casual and relaxed at the falls, then a full switch into a suit for something sharper with an urban edge, and he was all in for movement mixed with posed shots, which might be my favorite thing a senior guy can bring to a session. Then the quarry walls gave us a completely different mood again, more rugged, more textured. We closed it out with a striped shirt by the water for a little unexpected nautical flair.

Same kid, same afternoon, three completely different vibes.

Gorgeous white outfit, roaring full force waterfall, and Maya twirling exactly the way I asked! This has become one of the new hotspots and we spent it having a blast...it shows in every frame. Just another day at the office for me and this is why I love this so much! xoxo

From lace to flowy to denim, every change hit different and almost like she's been doing this her whole life!

We spent the afternoon wandering through Inniswood Gardens in Westerville and she spent most of it twirling, laughing and just being insanely natural in front of the camera. Thanks for an incredible day with you and your mom!

Lana's session is one of my favorites from this summer! I loved that she was daring enough to try full sun images AND a little wind!

We had every kind of light and every kind of green; deep woods, sunlit fields, and that gorgeous boardwalk that gives every session such a different feel depending on where you stand.

We shot straight into full sun, let the wind do its thing (hello, movement in that hair!!), and just let the golden light do the work.

And of course super cute Bailey had to make an appearance. A girl and her dog on a summer evening? Yes, please! :)

Lana, your outfits were perfect for this carefree, sunlit vibe. Thank you for trusting me with your senior session, the day was insanely perfect!!

Here's something I want every senior parent to know before they book:

Your teen does not need to be a natural in front of the camera.

They don't need to know how to pose. They don't need to be super outgoing or super confident or anything else.

** That's literally my job. **

What I do from the moment we start is walk them through everything - where to look, how to stand, when to just forget I'm there. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, something clicks.

They stop thinking about being photographed and just... exist. And that's when the good stuff happens.

The photos end up looking like them; just the best, most confident version of them.

That's not a happy accident. That's the whole point, and it's the reason I love this part of the job more than almost anything else about shooting Columbus and Dublin seniors.

If your teen is the type who would rather do literally anything else than stand in front of a camera, those are honestly some of my favorite sessions to shoot.
