Hey friends!!! It’s been a while since I’ve done any sort of introduction so I figured it was about time that I do just that.
For those that don’t know who I am, my name’s Janni! Pronounced yawn-ee (It’s Dutch – my family is from the Netherlands!) I am a thirty and thriving, mom of two, who is married to her best friend. And now I’m going to just share a few random facts about myself because I think that’s better than me just info dumping everything and us being here for forever LOL
1: I’m allergic to raw tomatoes and I don’t like coffee. I can eat cooked tomatoes, just not raw ones because of some enzyme or something that gets cooked out of it. And my caffeine fix comes from copious amounts of Dr. Pepper.
2: I have been doing photography in some shape or form on a large scale since I was fifteen. The story of how I got my first professional gear is funny to me so I’ll share it. Picture this, Janni circa 2005 who would classify herself as somewhere in the emo realm of things asked her dad if she could get her lip pierced. He rebuttled by offering up a camera instead and now here we are almost twenty years later and I’ve been doing this professionally since 2017.
3: I’m an avid bookworm. I have a whole room dedicated as a library and actually have a whole book review account here on instagram.
4: My husband and I met in high school but we are not high school sweethearts (and he actually dated a few of my friends throughout high school.) We reconnected about a year after I graduated and have been together ever since.
5: You will always, always, always catch me out on the dance floor even if all I have are white girl moves.
A few of my favorite things: the color orange, autumn, a good book, a cozy sweater or blanket, a forestry scented candle, hot chocolate, star wars, video games by bioware, couples that want to have fun and get lovey dovey on camera.
