✨ Inside the Frame with Sean Parker

When the sky moves that fast, focal length and aperture have to keep up. The Tamron 16-30mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 gives you a wide enough perspective to hold the full scene, and a constant F/2.8 to capture detail even as light shifts by the second. ⛈️

"This was one of those wild monsoon moments where everything lined up...double bolts of lightning striking as a double rainbow arched across the desert. I love how the chaos and calm collide in a single frame, showing just how unpredictable and beautiful the monsoon can be.

These kinds of scenes are why I chase storms year after year! You never know what kind of magic the sky will give you."

"I recently explored Alaska’s Inside Passage and Glacier Bay National Park aboard the Wilderness Legacy with . Being able to experience the jaw dropping beauty of Alaska by kayak, skiff, and on foot by bushwacking or meandering was truly the adventure of a lifetime.

Thankfully, I brought more than just my spirit of adventure; I also packed my Sony A7V paired with the 50-400mm for that essential focal reach, and the newly released 25-200mm G2 for its compact versatility. These are a few of my favorite images from an unforgettable journey." .nick

Tip #5: Look For Silhouettes And Sun Stars

"Shooting at smaller apertures, like F/16, and shooting into the sun can give you the sun star effect. That's what I did here. I also didn't care too much about detail of the planes, because I thought the silhouette looked better. There were also a few people running around the aircraft, so the silhouette choice hid them in the shadows and eliminated them as a distraction."

✨ Thursday Tip Series: Airshow Photography with Cecil Holmes

Tip #4: Look for Interesting Backgrounds

"I saw these hot air balloons launching and I knew they would make a great background for an image. I positioned myself in front of these parked warbirds to use as a foreground. The balloons made for a great backdrop and the warbirds made a great contrast of fast vs. slow air travel, I thought"
