Halfway through 2026 and I’m learning so much about myself, my business, and what actually matters.

I’m learning to take breaks without guilt. I’m discovering new passions (hello, seniors!). I’m being reminded that the work I do ripples far beyond the session. It impacts families, it inspires kids, it builds legacies.

But here’s what I’m realizing: as I learn about myself, I show up differently for my clients. When I honor what fills my cup, I connect on a deeper level. When I’m learning and growing, I’m able to guide them through their own journey with more presence, more intention, more authenticity. My growth becomes their experience.

Consistency compounds. Showing up for yourself matters. And when you do that work, your clients feel it.

Here’s to the second half of the year. Here’s to showing up, for yourself and for the people you serve.

When I look at portraits of my family on my walls, I’m right back in that moment. The feeling, the love, all of it.

I love being able to gift that same experience to my clients too. Watching them unwrap their artwork and see it for the first time—that moment never gets old. Knowing that in 20 years, they’ll still have those portraits to look back on, to hold onto their legacy, brings me so much joy. That’s the best part of what I do. 💕

Here’s a little secret: People say “mom brain” as if it’s a negative thing, but mom brain is actually... incredible.

You remember which stuffed animal, which book and which song calms them down. You juggle appointments, school events, and all the chaos of Maycember. You navigate meal prep, grocery shopping, and entertaining your little humans all at once—especially during that wild month. You remember advice from books, videos, and other moms. You bring the just-in-case medicines, extra clothes, and favorite snacks everywhere you go.

Your brain isn’t scattered. It’s extraordinary.

So as we celebrate surviving Maycember and heading into summer, take a moment to celebrate YOU.

You’re basically a superhuman.
