I photographed Jacqui Angelo more than a year ago and never shared these images the way I wanted to.

Jacqui is the interior designer behind Dahlia Interiors working alongside her husband Phil through Blue Leaf Design Build right here in Conifer.

Watching her work reminded me why I love getting beyond the headshot and telling the stories behind local businesses.

Mini Branding Sessions are back ✨

This is Janel, the heart and soul behind Lotus Flower Acupuncture in San Diego Janel Richardson

I met her at the Flourish Retreat and Workshop with Meg McMillan | Brand Photographer & Business Coach | San Diego back in April, and she was one of the mini brand clients we got to capture that weekend.
She’s grounded. She cares deeply about the healing process. And in just 30 minutes we captured a whole story of her business, the herbs she works with, her hands at work with guasha, and a classic headshot!

Thirty minutes. That’s it.

Can we talk hair and makeup for a second?

I get asked about this in almost every discovery call. The truth is it isn’t the same for everyone. Sometimes yes, sometimes I actually tell people to skip it.
