This session has been sitting in my heart for a while.

Golden light, a little girl who wanted nothing to do with standing still and everything to do with that water, and two parents who just rolled with all of it. The mosquitos were relentless and nobody cared even a little.

In between the chaos there were these quiet moments where you could feel them holding onto this season, their family of three, knowing it was almost over. Not with sadness, just with this soft, full presence.

That is the work I love most. The real thing, the messy and tender and fleeting thing.

She turned potty training into a business. And then brought her kids to the shoot to prove it.

Angie built from scratch because her son needed potty training to feel like a game, not a battle. It worked. And then she knew other moms needed it too.

Fizzy stars. Swirling colors. Kids laughing. A mom who is also a builder and a force of nature.

Some sessions just stay with you ✨

and her daughter spend so much of their time together out here, with their horses, on this land. When she asked me to come photograph that world, I didn’t hesitate for a second.
We shot at golden hour and I watched her ride with this pure, unguarded joy on her face. Nothing staged. Nothing forced. Just her, completely in her element, on the land she loves.

This is what I want to do more of. Families on their land. People in their element. The everyday moments and places that make up a life.

A few weeks ago, I shared an idea I couldn’t stop thinking about.

A small evening for women to slow down a little, reconnect with themselves, eat good food, sip mocktails, and have a short, natural photo experience that actually feels like them.

And the response was immediate…so we’re doing it.

With the help of and / Come Back to You ✨ is officially happening on June 8 here in Conifer, and I already have a feeling it’s going to be something really special.

We’re keeping it intentionally small with just 12 spots total, and a few are already taken.
