Stories aren’t told through perfect poses.
They’re told through interruptions, tiny hands, toddler chaos, feeding the baby while someone climbs on your back, and the way everyone slowly finds their place in the middle of a new season.

This is the kind of newborn session I’ll always come back to. Not overly directed. Just your family as you are — warm, connected, messy, tender, alive.

I’m a little less interested in perfect locations these days—
and a lot more interested in real ones.

The ice cream stand you always stop at.
The trail you’ve walked a hundred times.
The places that already feel like part of your story.

Because when you’re somewhere familiar,
you stop performing…
and start living.

You move differently.
You settle in faster.
You don’t have to try to feel anything—it’s already there.

That’s why I love sessions like this.

Not because they’re perfectly styled,
but because they’re already meaningful.

Because years from now, it won’t just look beautiful—
it will feel familiar.

(…and hey, you may need some stain remover after this kind of session, but I promise it’s worth it.)

Some stories begin long before they’re seen—
in the waiting, in the becoming, in the quiet knowing.

Your newborn session should hold all of it.

Not just how it looked…
but how it felt to be here.

The softness, the laughter, the chaos, the love woven into ordinary moments—this is the story I’m capturing for you.

In-home sessions are my speciality. Summer and fall due dates are now open (and already filling).

The first thing I look for when I arrive at an in-home newborn session isn't the nursery. It's the light.

When I arrive at a home, I pay close attention to the way it moves through the space —
across the bed, through the nursery curtains, along the floor where a family gathers.

Some rooms are filled with soft, abundant light.
Others are quieter and more deeply shadowed.
Both are beautiful.

Rather than trying to reshape it, I photograph it as honestly as possible, letting it become part of the narrative.

Light helps tell the story of what this moment in your life actually felt like.

Natural light + a quiet morning at home + a brand new baby — it doesn't get much better than that.

Waiting looks a lot like ordinary life.

Playing on the bed.
Afternoon light in the living room.
Small hands resting on a growing belly.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it —
a new chapter quietly on its way.

Sunlight flooding into the nursery.
A tiny sweater.
A dog who isn’t quite sure what changed — but knows it’s important.

No props. No baby posing. Just the beginning of a story already unfolding in the quiet corners of a home.

This is what I want you to be able to return to time and time again.

There’s something sacred about these early days at home — slow mornings, warm light through the windows, bare feet on familiar floors, and a baby who still fits perfectly in your arms.

At your newborn session, we let connection lead and the rest unfolds naturally.

The goal isn’t “dressed up.”
It’s natural, comfortable, and true to your style and your home.

Your photos will feel the most natural when your clothing belongs in the space — cozy knits in a warm home, simple denim in a modern one, soft linens in an airy space.

Save this for your session 🤍
