I took this photo 6 years ago. Thanksgiving is in my opinion not a holiday. After attending a college with deep roots in Native American history this holiday has become less of a holiday and more of a day to just remember things as they were and enjoy the day itself.

One tradition is mom's lemon mireunge pie. Every year for as long as I can remember. Someday this recipe shall be passed on to me and hopefully to my cousins. A day to be thankful for the year we've had; hard, fun, joyful, and painfully sorrowful.
Happy Thanksgiving or family/tradition day however you choose to celebrate.
