🌻TOMORROW🌻
I will be out at Roberts Five Farm if anyone would like a last minute sunflower session! I can do 4-5 or 4:30-5. Message me for more details! You don't want to miss out on these gorgeous sunflowers. 🌻📸

Remember when we said we’re sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly? I wasn’t kidding. We’re all in this together. This is part of our ministry. And this is what faith and farming looks like.

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

However, I don’t have this whole faith thing figured out. I’m still learning. I’m still growing. And honestly, I think God has been teaching me a LOT through this sunflower season.

Because if I’m being completely honest… this season hasn’t looked like I thought it would.

The flowers have been beautiful.
I’ve looked out over this field in awe, then looked at the empty parking lot and wondered, “Ummm… God… how are we going to make this work?”

We had a tough tulip season. Not to mention everyone is being hit hard with the price of just living.

We had high hopes sunflower season would help bridge the gap. Instead, there have been days we’ve been open for hours and only a couple people came. More than once, none.

I’m disappointed.
I’m worried.
I’m uncomfortable.

But something beautiful has happened in the middle of all that discomfort.

I’ve found peace.
I’ve learned gratitude for the really, really small things.

Not because everything is okay.
Not because I know how this season ends.

But because I’m learning that I can be uncomfortable and still have God beside me.

I can be disappointed and still be thankful.

I can say, “God, I really need You to provide,” while also saying, “Thank You for the people You did send today.”

•••••••••••

A friend recently told me, “Maybe God had you plant this field for yourself.”

And I haven’t stopped thinking about that.

Maybe this field wasn’t only planted for people to come pick flowers.

Maybe God planted it so I would have a place to sit with Him.

A place to pray.
A place to read His Word.
A place to cry.
A place to ask hard questions.
A place to praise Him.

Because sometimes we’re so focused on the harvest around us that we don’t realize God is growing something in us.

When you plant a seed, for a while it looks like nothing is happening.

You can’t see the roots.
You can’t see what’s happening underneath the surface.

But that doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

•••••••••••

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
-Galatians 6:9

At the proper time.

Not our time.
Not when we think it should happen.

His time.

Maybe you’re waiting for a job, healing, provision, a relationship, an answer to a prayer you’ve prayed for a really long time.

I don’t know what your empty field looks like.

But an empty field does not mean God has abandoned you.

You may not see the roots.
You may not see the growth.
You may not understand what He’s doing underneath the surface.

But that doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

Maybe all you have right now is a tiny little bit of faith.

That’s okay.

Plant that mustard seed of faith. Give it to God. Trust Him with the harvest.

Still give Him Praise in the waiting!

Thank you to those that came out for our praise in the petals this morning! 🫶🏼🌻

📸Book Your Sessions📸
This is a friendly reminder that the busiest time of the year is here! With September being tomorrow, almost all my weekends are full through October. I have very limited availability when it comes to Saturday. If you’re needing fall photos, let’s get them scheduled!

💲Please know that full payment is never expected up front. I always do a small deposit to reserve the date you want to book. The remainder is due the day of your photos. If we need to reschedule your date, that deposit is still good for the new date.

⏰ If you’ve ever booked a session with me then you already know my turnaround time is super fast. I just want to remind everyone, I’m a mom to 2 little boys & have things that may come up. I can guarantee your photos are done within a week.

👀 Be on the lookout for fall mini sessions. I’ll also be posting Halloween mini sessions soon!
