Hey there! I'm Steve Lunden, the passionate photographer behind Steve Lunden Photography LLC. Let me share with you the journey that led me here, to a world of storytelling through the lens of a camera. Born and raised in the picturesque town of West Spr

ingfield, MA, I've always had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around me. From the rolling hills of New England to the vibrant colors of autumn, my hometown provided the perfect backdrop for my journey into photography. While my academic background led me to pursue a degree in legal studies, my true passion has always been photography. Ever since I can remember, I've been drawn to images – the way they capture moments, evoke emotions, and tell stories without saying a word. It's this fascination that ultimately led me to follow my heart and pursue photography as more than just a hobby. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I've learned the importance of providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for others. This background has become an integral part of my approach to photography, as I strive to not only capture stunning images but also to ensure that each client feels valued, heard, and cared for throughout the process. In 2017, I took a leap of faith and founded Steve Lunden Photography LLC, merging my passion for photography with my dedication to serving others. It's been an incredible journey so far, filled with countless moments of joy, laughter, and connection. Whether I'm capturing the radiant smile of a high school senior, the intimate moments of a family reunion, or the love-filled glances of a newlywed couple, each photo session is a new chapter in my story – and I'm grateful to be a part of it. As I continue to explore the world through my lens, I'm excited to see where this journey takes me next. Whether it's capturing the beauty of my hometown, venturing into new destinations, or sharing my knowledge and passion with others, one thing is certain – my love for photography will always be at the heart of everything I do. Thank you for joining me on this adventure. Let's continue capturing moments, creating memories, and celebrating life's beautiful stories together.

What a day at the Stone Arch Bridge Festival!

My son Cameron came along as my unofficial creative director, and watching him work the crowd made me prouder than any frame I shot. He walked right up to groups of strangers, asked if he could take their picture, and handed them my card so they'd know they'd show up on our page. The warmth people gave him all afternoon, I won't forget it.
I shot the whole day on just my 10-20mm wide lens, leaning into the skyline, the bridge, and the energy of the crowd. Here are 29 of my favorites.
If you see yourself in here:

πŸ‘‰ Share it with your people

πŸ‘‰ Drop a comment, Cameron will be thrilled to hear it.

Thank you to everyone who said yes to a guy with a camera and a kid with a big smile. This is exactly why I love what I do. πŸ“Έ

Spent the afternoon at Long Lake in New Brighton, where the water and the rails sit a few hundred feet apart.
On one side, 1.5 miles of shoreline and a sky doing all the work. On the other, the old Great Northern caboose and an 1887 depot that's been parked here since 1990, its deck carved plank by plank with the names of the families who kept it standing.
Minneapolis is 6.9 miles down the line, but it feels a lot farther from here.
Shot mostly in black and white because some places already look like a memory.

Bold claim, but I'll stand on it: the best New York slice in Minnesota is coming out of a gas station in Fridley. πŸ•
No exaggeration. Vito Lucco Pizza co. is one guy (Joe Mastrey) working a tiny kitchen inside a BP station, and Star Tribune just gave him the write-up he deserves. Thin, foldable, that perfect little grease shine. The real deal.
If you've ever written off gas station food, consider this your sign to stop. Go fuel up. Literally. β›½

Skyline behind him, cobblestones underfoot, and about zero interest in "doing a whole photoshoot." Which is exactly how the best senior guy sessions tend to start. πŸ™οΈ
We took this Andover senior from the Stone Arch Bridge to the brick streets of St. Anthony Main, and somewhere between the first frame and golden hour, the "let's just get this over with" energy turned into him running the session.
Here's the truth about senior guys: it doesn't take a hundred outfit changes or stiff poses. One or two solid looks, a couple of great locations, and a photographer who keeps it fast and low pressure. That's the whole game.
Class of 2027, summer and early-fall dates are open now. If your senior would rather keep it chill and just walk away with photos that actually look like them, this is the session.
Booking link is in our bio. πŸ“Έ

Class of 2027 πŸ‘€ your senior photos aren't just a headshot. They're the last snapshot of who you were before everything changes.
Shooting golden-hour sessions across the NW Metro all season. Outfit changes, real direction, and an album you'll actually want to print.
Spots are filling for fall. Tap the link in bio or text 763-200-1460 to grab your date. πŸ‚

Few things make my week like a message from a couple who felt taken care of. πŸ’
Michelle and her partner planned their wedding on a short timeline, and getting to help make the day feel calm and fun (and getting those photos back to them early) is exactly why I do this.
Thank you, Michelle, for trusting me with your day. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"What's it like to work with Steve?" πŸ‘ˆ Swipe to hear it straight from a recent couple.
Michelle's wedding came together fast, and my whole goal was to keep it stress-free, capture the real moments, and get her photos back quickly. She said it better than I could, so I'll let her words do the talking.
If you're planning a Twin Cities wedding and want a photographer who actually cares how the day feels (not just how the photos look), let's talk. Link in bio or stevelundenphoto.com. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
