There were some decent colors last night for sunset. For the 1st one I combined 16 vertical images into one horizontal panorama for a field of view of about 200 degrees or so.

It seems like forever and a day since I captured a sunset. Last night at Peace Valley Park in Bucks County Pennsylvania the colors did not disappoint! I combined 5 vertical, long exposure images into one panorama. The long exposure helped to smooth out the water and help the reflection reflect!

I was out shooting some macro the other day when this creature happened into the scene. Looks like a Hoverfly:

Hover flies, also called flower flies or syrphid flies, make up the insect family Syrphidae. As their common name suggests, they are often seen hovering or nectaring at flowers; the adults of many species feed mainly on nectar and pollen, while the larvae eat a wide range of foods.Wikipedia

I was hiking through some fields on the Isle of Skye looking to capture the odd rock formations on the top left and the tree just off center when these boats presented a foreground element. Since the boats are clearly labeled I had little choice but to name this "It's as easy as..." It was a soggy hike up to the top of the old man of Storr but I managed to capture some decent landscapes and long exposures with the wind as it was.

No trip to the Scottish Highlands is complete without a stop to snap some shots of these bovine beauty's. Their manner was mild but their scent was a wee bit stronger...

I've been brushing up on shooting infrared (or near infrared @ 720nm) since there are some leaves and sun aplenty as of late. Infrared w/o bright sun is kinda mushy. Anyway, I combined the infrared image with the standard photo at 50% saturation just to make the castle stand out.

I hadn't shot a waterfall in ages until today. There were lots of small trees down here and there but Ricketts Glen was beautiful as usual. Didn't see a soul for the first 2 hours or so. Perfect ;-)

A few spring like images all from the backyard! The first image was created with a dozen shots focus stacked to keep the detail on the flowers but the background nice and creamy :-)

No shortage of White- throated Sparrows swooping into the scene and posing for the camera!

Is it possible to have too many red tulip photos? Yesterday I shot all sorts of flowers at Longwood Gardens but these red tulips stole the show as far as I'm concerned!

It sure seemed like spring yesterday! It's time for the annual Font Hill Castle daffodil shot :-)
