A FACETIME SHOOT: Isolation. It makes me feel trapped and suffocates my creativity. As a girl who never likes to stay in one place for long, this quarantine thing is KILLING me creatively and mentally but it’s also stretching me at the same time. I let a lot of things pull me in different directions and all this static from the world distracts me from what I should be focusing on. They say choose your battles wisely and most of the time I think I chose the wrong ones. I use all my energy to worry about things I should just let go of and it takes away from the things I should be channeling my energy toward. This season is all about reimagining my dreams and defining who I am as an artist. So here’s to only holding onto things that mean something, things that make me feel something, and things that make me a better me.

Okay real talk for a sec: This summer has been the first one since I graduated high school where I haven’t taken many photography jobs. Focusing on a job other than this one has shown me that I’d never want to do anything but this. 100%. I feel like a piece of me is missing when I’m not doing what I love. I’m switching schools, changing my major, and moving states. Yea it’s scary and intimidating but going after your dreams is rarely an easy thing. So here’s to a lot more pictures and many more hours behind the camera in my near future.
