I went to see the wild ponies of Chincoteague Island yesterday. As a little girl I read, “Misty of Chincoteague”, (great horse story)later I found out Chincoteague and the wild ponies were not fictional! For years I’ve wanted to go see the wild ponies and see the inspiration from which Misty was born. Yesterday, I made that happen, totally worth the 8 hours of driving, the island is gorgeous, and the ponies were waiting for me!
