To be young and in love. Just finishing college, starting your life together, with the whole world ahead of you.

There is something so powerful about capturing people at this stage in their lives. Maybe it's because my own son is just a chapter behind them. Maybe it's because I'm somehow many chapters past it in my own life.

Maybe it's because it reminds me how quickly life moves fast like a river and seems to flow by without warning.

I don't really know.

What I do know is that sometimes people come through my lens and leave a lasting impression on my heart.

It's hard to put into words, but it feels really special to capture these moments.

Almost as if they don't quite know yet just how special this season of life is.

Maybe some do. I don't know if I knew at that age.

These two stepped in front of my camera and just did their thing! They were immediately playful, fun, and authentically themselves. Typically, I give a lot of direction and prompts, but they pretty much took any cue I gave and then ran with it and did all the work from there.

They brought a champagne bottle. She said she had never popped the cork to spray it all over and wanted to try that for photos, so we did! And it was awesome!

I am really looking forward to their wedding day. I know it's going to be a lot of fun

As the days fill up with events, I think I’d better stop taking weddings and reserve some dates on my calendar for my Sweetbay Kids! I don't have all the locations set yet, so everything is still pretty open at the moment. It'll all become official soon

Sessions will be $350, 45 min, $50 deposit to save the slot, 75+ images delivered within a week.

As always pricing flexible for a few families in need each year.

I'll post info and locations soon as they are requested. Feel free to reach out to suggest a location and date that works for you ahead of time.

One of the venues I work with in Calistoga has me as their photographer for weddings and events. Most of the time, because of how the booking process works and couples coming in from out of state, I don’t often get the chance to meet the couples in person beforehand and end up meeting them for the first time on the wedding day. Which is totally fine, but I really love having the chance to connect before whenever possible.

Well, these two took me up on that offer, and I’m so glad they did! They were SOOO adorable and sweet together. I’m really happy we got the chance to connect before their wedding next year in Calistoga and spend a fun evening chasing the sunset together at Crane Creek ❤️

I love getting to be part of several chapters in people’s lives, and with Morgan and Nathan, I was there for the proposal and now I get to be there for the wedding day too! He proposed at V. Sattui Winery, and it was such a surprise for her. I really liked them both right away and was really hoping they would contact me again once they set a date… and they did!!!

These are the photos we took to celebrate their engagement + one from back at the proposal :). We shot at Crane Creek Regional Park. Such a fun and beautiful couple. I just know the wedding day will be beautiful and memorable as well.

What can I even say about these two! They came to their session ready to have fun no matter what. It was SO windy, it was cold… and who even cares. We had a blast.

I didn’t want it to end. We kept shooting until the sun dropped into the ocean. I laughed so much while culling and editing this one. Ended up delivering almost 300 photos.

It was an 80's themed birthday party for a VERY special lady.

One of my brides from 13 years ago who is also a mom with kids that I get to photograph every year! So of course I am super excited to be there to take photos on her birthday! It was such a fun night. I love a whole evening of taking candid photos! I even brought an old film camera just for a couple rolls of retro looking shots to mix in.

One of the sweetest weddings I have been to in some time. It took place atOlympia's Valley Estate, a great venue in Petaluma. (and they have cows!)

A young couple so deeply in love, surrounded by a huge, supportive family. It’s hard to fully explain the feeling, but the best way I can describe it is innocent, pure love with a strong future ahead of them.

I feel like taking photos at this one was a gift, to me.
