Some wedding days are beautiful.
Some are joy-filled.
And some feel like a glimpse of heaven. ❤️

Xander + Bella’s day at Gale Woods Farm was all of that and more.

These two met at Crown College (Mark & my alma mater 🥹), and watching the story God has written since then has been such a gift.

Not only was this a wedding day overflowing with joy, deep love, and unwavering faith—it was also incredibly personal for us. Xander serves as the next gen pastor at our church alongside Mark, and we could not be more excited to welcome Bella into the everyday rhythms of our church family and community. 🤍

From the way they looked at each other, to the prayers spoken over them, to the way friends and family surrounded them with genuine love and support—it all pointed back to Jesus and His faithfulness.

Their day was such a beautiful testament to what Christ can do in and through people who wholeheartedly pursue Him.

What an honor it was to witness, celebrate, and capture the beginning of this new chapter. ❤️

Elise’s portrait session in downtown Hastings felt less like a traditional photoshoot and more like a conversation about transition, purpose, and stepping into a new season of life. We spent the evening walking through downtown Hastings and along the Mississippi River on one of those perfect Minnesota May nights — soft light, a gentle breeze, and the kind of evening that makes you want to slow down a little. As we explored the riverfront and quiet streets, Elise shared about the exciting changes ahead for her and her family.

Neve’s senior session at Afton State Park felt especially meaningful because it captured such a huge transition season in her life. After growing up in Afton, Minnesota, she’s officially heading across the country to attend University of California, Los Angeles this fall to study psychology.

Crimson Education connected us after hearing the exciting news about Neve’s college decision, and it was such an honor to help celebrate this moment. We spent the evening walking through the trails at Afton State Park alongside her mom, soaking in the peaceful views and documenting this chapter before life changes in a big way.

Jackie & Quinn’s engagement session at Hastings Lock and Dam was one of those perfect Minnesota summer evenings ☀️

From meeting on Tinder in high school (when Jackie didn’t even like Quinn at first 😂) to discovering they were at the SAME beach in Florida through Snap Map, these two have the sweetest story.

We spent sunset wandering along the river, laughing nonstop, and capturing this season before their wedding day. Between the golden light, the Mississippi River views, and these two together — it was such a fun session.

I recently had the joy of photographing Remi and Shawn’s portrait session at Lake Rebecca Park in Hastings, and Minnesota gave us the dreamiest sunset to work with. Warm light, fall colors, and two very adorable fur babies—Hattie and Penny—made the whole evening feel extra special.

The dogs were a little squirrel! with all the new smells (if you’ve brought pups to a session before, you know exactly what I mean), but they did such a great job. We still managed to snag some really sweet shots of them, and honestly, their personalities made the session even more fun.
As we walked, Remi shared that Hattie is very much a COVID baby—the kind of pup who wants her people close at all times. She also told me she and Shawn actually met online during COVID, which made their story feel even more meaningful. Even in uncertain seasons, life has a way of bringing the right people together.

Between the two of them, Remi and Shawn have four kids—two each—and you can see the pride all over their faces when they talk about their family. And though Minnesota gave us the perfect setting for this chapter, these two actually got married on the beach in St. Augustine, Florida, surrounded by family. Hearing them talk about their wedding day was such a sweet glimpse into their story. (Sounds like traveling together is a big part in general with their story!)

I’m so grateful they trusted me to capture this season of their lives—dogs, love, laughter, and all. Sessions like this are the reason I adore what I do.
