People sometimes ask me if I still get nervous before shooting a wedding.
The answer is yes.
Not because I doubt my abilities or because I’m unsure of what to do. After over 12 years of photographing weddings, I know how to handle timelines, changing light, unexpected weather, and all the little moments in between.
But when something matters deeply to us, it usually comes with both excitement and nerves.
To me, nerves aren’t a sign of insecurity—they’re a sign of investment.
Every wedding day represents a once-in-a-lifetime collection of moments. The joy, tears, laughter, and celebration that can never be recreated.
I feel the weight and privilege of documenting those memories every single time. I am invested in my couples and telling their stories.
So yes, there are still butterflies before I arrive on a wedding day.
And honestly, I hope there always will be.
Because as long as I care this much about the people I serve and the memories I’m trusted to preserve, I never want this work to feel ordinary.
