From the mountains of Montana and back home to Georgia, what an incredible 2.5 weeks I've had. Way too many images for one post, as I had the privilege of photographing at so many beautiful places on this trip, ending with Dryhead Ranch and Cowgirls with Cameras.

It all started in Sula, Montana, where I had the privilege of being a guest presenter for the Cowboy Creative. Lauren Moylan put together such a fantastic event, and it was a joy to spend time with such a talented, welcoming group of photographers.

We were treated to beautiful Montana skies, gorgeous palomino horses, and so many opportunities to create and learn together. To top it all off, we celebrated our country's 250th birthday in true western style, a celebration I'll never forget.

It's the people that make these trips special, the shared passion for photography, and the friendships made along the way.

Thank you, Lauren, for the invitation and for creating such a memorable experience.

Swipe through to see just a few from the Cowboy Creative event (more to come from my time in Big Sky Country).

Some stories stay with you long after you leave.

Recently, I had the privilege of photographing the incredible family behind Les Haven Ranch, a blind horse rescue dedicated to giving horses with vision loss the safe, loving lives they deserve.

Watching these horses navigate the world with trust, confidence, and the unwavering support of people who believe they are just as worthy of love was something I'll never forget. Every horse deserves kindness, patience, and a chance to thrive and that's exactly what they find here.

Lou, Korey, Arlo and Levi, thank you for opening your home to me. I’m so incredibly blessed and honored to help tell your story.

Swipe through to meet a few of these beautiful souls. ❤️

Have you ever met a blind horse? I'd love to hear about it.

Keeping Tyler and his family in our thoughts and prayers…

Keeping Tyler and his family in our thoughts and prayers…

Our horse show family is rallying around one of our own.

Tyler Mitchell was recently involved in a devastating head-on collision that left him with severe injuries, including a major back injury. He is facing multiple surgeries and what will be a long road to recovery.

Tyler, his wife Charmi, and their two young boys have a difficult journey ahead. As a professional horseshoer, Tyler's ability to work will be greatly impacted during his recovery.

If you're attending the show, we invite you to add a $10 donation to your entry fees. Every dollar collected will go directly to Tyler and his family to help ease the financial burden during this challenging time.

Thank you for showing what makes this community so special. Your generosity and support will make a meaningful difference for the Mitchell family.

If you would like to make a donation and you are not at the show please contact our show secretary at 208-360-3332, and she will help you out.

Things I'd tell every Photographer around the campfire: 🔥

• Stop waiting until you're "good enough."
• The best image isn't always the sharpest.
• Travel changes your photography because it changes you. (my personal fav)
• Learn from everyone. Copy no one.
• Success isn't measured by followers.
• Protect your curiosity.
• Make images that feel like home.

but save this for everyday motivation! 😊

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
Dr Seuss always did tell it like it is. 😊
I feel like I’m going in many different directions… home from Iceland, leaving for Montana again soon. My head is spinning, and my Kaylee girl thinks I am the dog sitter now. 🤪

In need of some inspiration. ❤️

Sometimes the best chapters of your life don't have a map.

Growth never happens by staying in one comfortable place; it happens when we dare to step into the unknown. Sometimes that shift in perspective is all we need.

This summer is bringing more than a few opportunities to stretch beyond my comfort zone. Some are exciting, some are a little intimidating, but I'm leaning in anyway. Here's to new experiences, fresh perspectives, and trusting that the next chapter is worth the leap!
