Mr & Mrs. Barton

This was actually the first time Lauren, Charlie, and I had met in person since I wasn't able to be there for their engagement session. But from the moment I arrived, it felt like I was spending the day with old friends!!

Set against the mountains, their wedding day was so calm & joyful. One of my favorite moments was when they exchanged private vows on the dock before the ceremony. I found myself sitting quietly, watching from a distance and simply taking it all in. The way they looked at each other was something special to witness. It truly is a privilege being around happiness every weekend.

Watching Lauren and Charlie together the entire day (Im a professional 3rd wheel), it was impossible not to notice how secure, joyful, and effortless their love felt. The kind of love where you can tell they’ve found peace in each other. It was a beautiful reminder that healthy, lasting love still exists and that some of the best things in life are worth being patient for.

Every detail of Devin & Josh’s wedding at Historic Smithonia Farms felt intentional, meaningful, and uniquely them!! Guests traveled from across the country, and even from overseas, to celebrate their day.

The ceremony and cocktail hour were accompanied by a live string quartet playing contemporary favorites, including Taylor Swift, creating the perfect blend of timeless elegance and modern romance. During the reception, guests received one of the most memorable favors I’ve ever seen: hand-painted portraits created live throughout the evening, giving everyone a one-of-a-kind keepsake to take home. The Painted Party Creative Studio!

One of my favorite details was their sweetheart table, beautifully set with the bride’s grandmother’s china. A simple but meaningful way to honor family. Just so much intention brought into the day.

A day filled with thoughtful details and a whole lot of love. It was a pleasure documenting your special day!

Whew… these two had me tearing up all day long. No one held back their emotions, and honestly, those are always the weddings that stay with me the most.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve become really intentional with the way I photograph weddings. During private vows, I’ll often put my camera down for a while just to listen. During ceremonies, I find myself doing the same..soaking in the story, the promises, the emotion behind it all. In a world that feels so rushed sometimes, there’s something really beautiful about watching two people be fully present with each other. I always tell my clients: this is your wedding day. I’m not creating a magazine shoot or shoving a camera in your face every second. I want you to experience the day as it’s happening — naturally, emotionally, and without pressure. I promise no important moment will be missed, but you also don’t need 400 photos of every tiny second to tell the story well.

Ally & Nathan spent their entire day focused on what mattered most: each other. And I truly think that’s what made their wedding feel so special. They celebrated alongside their family and friends at Little River Farms with the most beautiful ceremony and stunning florals. I always love shooting at this venue, but this day felt extra special.

Thank you both for letting me be part of such an emotional, joy-filled day. 🤍
