Our Summer Minis were a hit this year! It was so good to see some familiar faces! We had a blast jumping in the water with you, strolling along in the sand and watching the sunset together.

Minis are the perfect occasion for couples anniversary photos, families with small children and even folks who just need updated headshots.

This year this might’ve been our favorite mini session we’ve done thus far. It’s hard to top the PERFECT weather we had and having the beach practically to ourselves.

Some places just have a way of slowing you down.

Liz and Najee had never really spent much time in Newport before, so they made a weekend out of it. They wandered the streets, soaked up everything a New England summer has to offer, and ended the day on the beach as the sun dipped below the horizon.

The best part about sessions like these isn’t just the photos. It’s giving couples an excuse to pause, explore somewhere new together, and celebrate this season of their lives. We just happen to be there to document it.

Pride Month may be over, but showing up shouldn’t be.

Supporting LGBTQ+ couples isn’t something you do for 30 days because it’s good for engagement. It’s something you do because every couple deserves to feel seen, celebrated, respected, and safe.

Visibility doesn’t expire on July 1st.

If your rainbow logo disappears and your support goes with it, it was never support in the first place.

The wedding industry should be a place where every couple can celebrate their love without wondering if they’ll be judged, excluded, or made to feel like they don’t belong.

And if you’re a wedding vendor who doesn’t support LGBTQ+ rights, doesn’t welcome LGBTQ+ couples, or thinks they deserve anything less than equal love and respect, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

This wedding was truly full circle for us.

I first met Chelsea McNally back in high school. She was a freshman and I was a senior, and while we didn’t really know each other then, we had no idea what the future held. Years later, I captured her senior portraits. Then came a Lovebird Session when she started dating Kevin, followed by a few mini sessions here and there. When Kevin finally proposed, Chelsea told me there was nobody else she’d rather have capture their wedding. I was over the moon.

To say I feel a little old knowing a former senior portrait client is now married is an understatement, but truly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Our clients aren’t just another number to us. They’re friends we grow with. We stay connected, we hang out post-wedding, and if we’re lucky, we get to document their story year after year, chapter after chapter.

To my fellow Disney lover, here’s to your happily ever after, Chelsea! 💫💜 Thank you for allowing me to capture the beginning of your greatest adventure yet.

Our Spring Minis this year happened at the PERFECT time. Sometimes picking a date for these sessions feels like a gamble, hoping everything will be in bloom and look magical, but this year Mother Nature finally came through for us. Beautiful sunshine, gorgeous blooms, and the sweetest families.

And honestly… the photos speak for themselves. ☀️🌸

We’re so incredibly thankful for all of our mini session clients who continue to come back year after year. Even though these sessions are only 20 minutes long, getting to catch up with you all and watch your families grow season after season is truly the best part of what we do. It’s the reason we love these sessions so much.

Last week, we had the chance to capture Casey & Co’s Newport Social Club, and somehow it felt less like a networking event and more like a summer night you never wanted to end ✨

Beautiful sunshine, cocktails in hand, incredible conversations, and a space filled with some of the most talented creatives and wedding professionals in New England. From the stunning details to the nonstop laughter under the tent, every part of the night was intentional, welcoming, and honestly just so much fun to be a part of.
