🚨EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY🚨
I will no longer be posting identifiable images of children on my photography page, regardless if a parent has given permission or not.
The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that possessing AI-generated CSAM (child sexual abuse material) depicting “fictional” children can be constitutionally protected when it stays within the home.
I will not have the artwork I create for my clients become any part of that. If our government and laws aren’t going to protect children from what AI can do with their images, then I feel a responsibility to do my part to protect them.
This doesn’t mean that anything with your photos will change. You will still receive the same quality product, however in my social media content and marketing, I will not share faces of any children. I will take measures such as blurring out faces and any identifying marks.
Thank you all for understanding, and trusting me to take photos for you and your family. Above all else, I care for my clients and serving them at the highest level is always my top priority. Creating art with and for my clients is more than a business for me, and that means putting you and your family's safety first.
To the other photographers who are taking these safety precautions as well, thank you for the inspiration and for taking care of your clients. *I copied most of this post and then made it my own, and I give permission to any/all other photographers and parents to copy/paste this post if you feel so inclined!
