Some of you might remember, I spent A LOT of time at Cresson Sanitorium & Prison from 2021-2023. Back in August of 2023, I truly thought I had lost Cresson for good. I never imagined I’d get the chance to step foot on the property again. I mourned it for a long time, and eventually learned how to keep moving forward with nothing but memories.
Then everything changed.
Late last year, I found out there would be a new owner—not just new tenants—and suddenly, the idea of going back became real. As soon as tickets went on sale, I pounced. First ticket sold. Then came the wait…
Today, after almost two and a half years, I went home.
I trekked through all that snow and spent seven hours there, soaking in everything I’ve missed. I cried. I laughed. I smiled. I climbed through some seriously high snow drifts. Every single minute was worth it.
I also got to show my friend Jaime the property for the first time, which was amazing. We laughed all day long. My friend Kenny joined us too for a little Cresson reunion—someone I met during the haunt in the very first year and have been lucky enough to call a friend ever since.
We may be absolutely frozen, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I cannot wait to see the property come back to life, and I can’t wait to spend more days in the place that truly holds my heart. 💙❄️
Thank you to the new owners for bringing this amazing place back into my life!
