As a photographer—and as a mom—protecting the children who step in front of my camera is incredibly important to me.
After recently learning more about the growing concerns surrounding AI-generated and digitally manipulated images involving minors, I have decided to make a few changes to how A New View Photography shares images of children publicly.
Effective immediately, I will no longer post photographs of babies or children who are partially clothed or undressed to my social media pages, website, advertisements, or public portfolio. This includes bath and milk-bath sessions, diaper-only images, and similar photographs.
I am still more than happy to photograph these precious moments for families! ❤️ They simply will remain within your private gallery and will not be used in my public portfolio or advertising.
I will also be implementing a new Minor Photo & Social Media Release for sessions involving children. This will allow parents/guardians to clearly indicate whether they give permission for their child's photographs to be shared publicly.
And please know: You never have to give me permission to post your child in order to book a session with me. If you would prefer that your child's face not be shared, would like their face blurred, or would prefer that no photographs of them be posted at all, please tell me. Your decision will never affect the care, quality, or experience you receive from me.
For older minors, I also want them to have a voice in how their photographs are shared. Beginning around 8th grade, I will ask the child for their permission as well as the parent/guardian whenever possible.
The internet and technology are constantly changing, and I believe my policies should grow with them. A beautiful portfolio will never be more important to me than a child's privacy and safety.
Thank you to all of the families who trust me with your little ones and your memories. It is a privilege I don't take lightly. 🤍

A quick note regarding my personal social media:
As part of these changes, I have also made the decision to keep my personal Facebook account private and separate from my photography business. Going forward, I will no longer be accepting friend requests from clients through my personal account. 🤍
Please know this is nothing personal whatsoever! I absolutely love getting to know the families I photograph and appreciate every person who supports my business. This boundary is simply another step I am taking to protect the privacy and safety of my own little one, just as I want to protect the children entrusted to me during your sessions.
You are always more than welcome to follow, message, tag, and interact with me through A New View Photography. 📸
As a photographer, I ask families to trust me with some of their most precious people. I believe it's only right that I take children's digital privacy—including my own child's—as seriously as possible. ❤️
