There are some wedding venues that instantly make my photographer's mind start creating.

The Manor House Ruins & Pavilion create the most romantic, timeless atmosphere. And the garden? Stunning. I can picture elegant portraits surrounded by flowers and a wedding gallery that feels like it belongs in a storybook.

**3. Macca Villa at Riverside | Murfreesboro, TN** 🖤🤍
Modern. Elegant. Sophisticated. Their black and white chapel creates the perfect backdrop for whatever colors you choose for your wedding day. And getting married beneath the kissing tree? Absolutely beautiful.

Yesterday was more than a family session. It was a reminder that God is always preparing us for what's ahead.

I had the honor of photographing the Walker Generational Family at the Ogle Cabin in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Before leaving home, I spent time in a devotional about relaxing and letting God lead. I prayed over the day and carried Psalm 119:35 with me.

The sky was gray with spotty lightning in the distance. I even took the wrong exit, but instead of getting frustrated, I enjoyed seeing ducks during my turnaround. As I drove through the Smoky Mountains, surrounded by towering trees and peaceful Tennessee back roads, I was reminded of God's faithfulness.

The session went so smoothly. We laughed, captured beautiful memories, and celebrated generations of family together.

On my drive home, I left the radio off. For two and a half hours, there was only silence, prayer, and the beauty of God's creation. That quiet gave me space to hear Him.

That's when I realized something.

Every large family session has been preparing me for wedding days.

Guiding multiple generations, organizing large groups, keeping everyone laughing, and making family portraits efficient are all skills that help my couples enjoy a smooth, stress-free wedding day.

Sometimes God isn't just giving us opportunities. He's preparing us for the calling He's placed before us.
