Here is what remains of the former Sara-Placid Drive-In movie theater located on Rt 86 halfway between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid in North Elba. The theater first opened in 1950 and closed for good in 1974, it was then sold to the state of New York. Not much remains today, we found a few wires sticking out of the ground, speaker wires most likely. Also some barrels, a cigarette machine and of course the parking lot clearing that is slowly being taken back by nature.
