A strange story out of the Philippines from earlier this year I just came across….
Nitya, an injured lovebird was given the ability to “fly” again thanks to it’s owner Marc Joseph Colando who strapped a container to his drone in which his bird now rides in. According to the story, the bird appears to enjoy the flight and can be heard squeaking inside its cabin…… 🤷

The off trail, unnamed 3 tier waterfall off from Short Swing Trail in Ticonderoga is one of my favorite places to enjoy in the Pharaoh Wilderness Area. The first clip was shot from the bottom of the falls, the second clip I had climbed up to the bottom of the second falls so I could capture the pool of water there in the ledge.
Take Short Swing from 74 near Eagle Lake. Halfway to Rock Pond start looking for the small unmarked herd trail to the left once you start hearing the falls. On rainier summers there a bit more to look at!

The old graphite mine or strip mine drain (depending on what you read) at Rock Pond where graphite for the Ticonderoga pencils used to come from. I finally decided to venture all the way to the end of the shaft, check out the video! I apologize in advance for how shaky the video is and how long it took, the shaft is flooded with nasty rusty muddy water, I was trying to pick my steps carefully!
