President and Owner Darren Zancan earned his bachelor's degree in journalism and broadcast electronic media at Eastern Kentucky University. He earned his master's program in business journalism, with a video concentration, at the prestigious Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in the su

mmer of 2012. He is an award-winning journalist, capturing Kentucky Press Association honors on several occasions. His awards include Best Sports Story, Best Sports Column, Best Editorial Page, Best Front Page Design, Best Ongoing Coverage and Best Sports Page. Zancan also has several years of acting experience. In 2007, Zancan won the reality TV show "I Wanna Be a Soapstar," earning a role on the hit daytime TV show "Days of Our Lives." He's also appeared in several commercials, TV shows and a handful of movies. In 2008, Zancan worked in radio in Lexington doing weather and news updates, along with several commercial segments for ESPN 1300, 96.1 FM and 107.9 FM. With more than 10 years of journalism and video experience, he found his passion in videography, which resulted in starting his own company DMZ Video Productions, LLC., in 2012.

⚽World Cup excitement came to Northwest Indiana! 🌎

We had the opportunity to capture the energy from Next Generation Soccer Training and Education’s World Cup Event at Southlake Mall on July 11th! 📸✨

Kids of all ages participated in soccer activities, drills, competitions, giveaways, and more while families enjoyed an engaging and inclusive experience celebrating the love of the game. 🏆⚽

☆ From there, we begin strategizing content and a social media marketing plan to best fit our partner’s goals. This includes pre-producing concepts for graphic design, photo, video, and copy.

☆ After collecting the important information, brand needs, and content concepts, it’s time for a shoot day! We collaborate with our partners, bring the team together, and capture the magic.

🚂 Check out this unique view of the world’s largest steam train! 🎥

Yesterday, everyone gathered in Knox in Starke County to celebrate and view the world’s largest steam train. Owner of DMZ Productions, Darren, had the chance to check it out and get the drone up in the air for a bird’s-eye-view of Big Boy No. 4014 in action! Being one of eight of these locomotives in existence, it’s amazing to see a piece of history continue to share its story and be celebrated.

🐾📸 Our production team recently spent time capturing content with LaPorte County Animal Control & The Jane Bernard Animal Adoption Center and Emergency Veterinary Care Centers in Westville, Indiana.

While at the shelter, we had the opportunity to photograph some of the incredible dogs and cats looking for their forever homes. 🐶🐱❤️ We also captured the compassionate care and dedicated team at EVCC.

Whether we're behind the camera with gimbals in hand or taking a moment to connect with the animals we meet, we believe the best storytelling starts with an open heart. We're grateful to capture these meaningful moments. ✨
