Hope is getting so big. She is flying well. She is getting harder to find as she can fly well and is exploring quite a bit. I will post the whole series of this sequence, but I think this was my favorite.
It was a rather slow photographic night for about 2 hours. then patience paid off. I just love watching her thrive.

So I will take a break from photographing Saturday and hang at the pool. I am exhausted.

Hope fly's out of the original nest tree. She is getting so big and flying very well. I love the images that show the whole habitat. It is a very special type of image with the history of the owls and this tree.

Hope is growing up so quickly. She is beautiful. She is flying well and learning daily. Quite amazing to watch. I love the days when she is out in the open and good light is upon her. We are starting our rainy season, so blue skies will be more difficult to see. So we must take advantage of good lighting any time it shows up in the sky.

It is difficult to capture short flight shots or even little hops of Hope, or any owl. They are usually high in a tree. ...

It is difficult to capture short flight shots or even little hops of Hope, or any owl. They are usually high in a tree. There or often many branches or twigs in the way. You still need them to face into the good light for a good photo. Owls do what owls do. So patience is a photographers best friend...well and beautiful owls in great light really help and are worth every second, or should I say every hour of even days of waiting for a good image.
