was our next stop along the . This was a surprise to see on the list as I didn't know they had a whisky.

At this time, they have a white dog and a flavored named whiskey - but are working on aging their own with plans to release is in 2025-26.

I've enjoyed , so it will be interesting to see where this goes.

The next stop on the was a special one for us. We visited and had the honor of meeting Nick and his wife Nici.

Although MKT may have closed their doors, they will always remain a respected symbol of Texas Whisky and even more... family.

They heard about our adventure and refused to let us pass by without sharing a toast to a truly good human that the world recently lost, Patrick Kohn.

Nick and Nici showed us what the trail is about. It is about family. It is about community. It is about respect, love, and truly being there for one another.

was the next stop on our journey. Sadly, we arrived before they were officially open, so we were unable to sample their whisky. However, one of the awesome distillers did offer to give us a quick tour of the facility to tell us what they were about.

The distillery was really neat, and I particularly enjoyed the different visuals throughout to help explain the process of distilling and evaporation process.

I've had their whisky in the past, and the outlaw is particularly enjoyable!

The next stop on our adventure was a big distillery doing big things. they are creating some great product along with a fun experience that has a little something for everyone. They've got great whisky of various types, food, and plenty of seating.

It is awesome to see a Texas distillery making strides to truly become a leader in Texas made spirits.

The staff was knowledgeable and welcoming, and their bourbon whisky was truly enjoyable, and their Cognac is absolutely delicious.

The next stop on our journey was at in Houston. This family owned distillery is the definition of hard work and perseverance.

They've recently acquired a new warehouse and are setting up shop. They've got a great vision for the place and are working hard to get things going. It was awesome to see them making the best with what they have and truly putting in the work to be successful.

I've gotten to try their lineup, and their Percheron was very enjoyable. Can't wait to see their new facility up and running!

is where I found my love for Texas whisky. It all started as the desire to collect the core lineup before I knew there were many more than a few easy to afford bottles. I now have over 150 unique bottles from them.

What I like most about Balcones is their pioneer spirit into the unknown. They threw out the rulebook and started something truly inspiring and one-of-a-kind. The uniqueness of each bottle always amazes me as and push the limits to reach new discoveries.

I'll always consider this distillery my whisky home and excited to see what the future holds for them.

If you haven't checked out their holiday eggnog, this stuff is magic. In this photo, we toasted to Patrick Kohn, the Titan of whisky and a damn good man who will be missed.

For our next stop on the , we visited just north of Houston.

Clare was happy to welcome us in and tell us about the distillery. They have a nice tasting area with a gift shop. They currently make a variety of things and play with finishing some whisky as well. Their Balcones barrel finished in Sherry Cask is delicious. The prices are extremely fair, and you'd be a food to not walk out with a few treats.

We enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to seeing what they make in the future as the creativity is certainly there.

was the 2nd stop along our journey. I had tried this whisky some time ago and wasn't the biggest fan due to the young nature. However, they just fully redeemed themselves with a WONDERFUL experience. Their whisky this time was bold, full of flavor, and complex. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The staff here was friendly, welcoming, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Stop by and give them a try - you won't regret it!

Our first stop on the was Winery and Distillery.

They are located on a beautiful hillside with stunning views and a welcoming setup centered around a comfortable and relaxing visit. They have a full offering of handmade wine / cocktails and multiple spirits - something for everyone!

Jimmy's whisky was special - they are going for a textbook bourbon, and they are certainly on the right path.

Family oriented, welcoming, well priced, has something for everyone, and most importantly, fun!

Over the past 5 days, I embarked on a 2,375 mile trip to visit all 32 distilleries currently on the throughout Texas.

At 7pm last night, we celebrated our last stop at with some great food and drinks.

Throughout the next few weeks, I'll be posting reviews of each location and answering any questions.

Yesterday, I took part in an annual 100 for 9/11 event that is hosted by members belonging to the 6th Airlift Squadron at Joint Base McGuire Dix-lakehurst. The walk is a nonstop 100-mile journey dedicated to remembering the lives lost on that fateful day along with the years since. Additionally, we raised $32,000 for the which was through our page www.100for911.com

At the conclusion of our walk, we always stay for the solemn
firefighter tribute. This year, we brought along a bottle of to drink to in honor of the friends we've lost. The story behind this bourbon couldn't be more fitting for the occasion.
