As a photographer this makes me happy. What a great view.

Earthset.

The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon.

The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon. The Apollo 8 mission was the first crewed spacecraft to circumnavigate the Moon.

Yesterday, the Artemis II crew broke records for the farthest distance traveled from Earth—reaching a maximum distance of 252,756 miles from Earth during their journey. At their closest point, the Artemis II crew was within about 4,070 miles from the lunar surface.

Since 2015, Kerry has been capturing memories behind the lens. While we dove into the pageant world in 2023 under our new name, Kaptured by Kerry, it’s time for another evolution.
To better balance our personal life and focus on what we love most, we are stepping away from pageant photography.
Don't worry—the name isn't changing! We are still here and available for all other types of photography. Whether it’s portraits, events, or lifestyle shoots, we’d love to work with you as long as our schedule allows.

A huge thank you to all the pageant directors for having us and letting us do what we love. Most importantly, thank you to the clients who have trusted us to capture your daughters and sons on stage over the past two years. We are so grateful for your support!

been working on my latte art for a while. Finally got it to this. I have the milk texture correct and I understand the technique . I just don't have a very steady hand. That's the reason I'm a photographer not a painter.
