There are days when a client’s faith in you is stronger than your own. This was one of those days. The weather turned cold and windy out of nowhere, her babies were far more interested in adventuring than looking at the camera, and yes—the game was on ( ).

But through all of it, she stayed calm, optimistic, and genuinely believed we would create magic. She trusted the process long before I did, and I can’t express how much that matters behind the lens.

I walked away from the session a little defeated to be fair.. after a few tears, a few toddler negotiations, and the sun doing its own thing in the sky. I loaded the SD card expecting chaos…

Instead, I was hit with pure gold.

The candids of her babies? Some of my absolute favorites. Their joy, their freedom, their real personalities, captured in the most authentic way.

Her styling was a photographer’s dream, her hair was perfection, and the color palette made my creative heart sing.

But those grins, those little runs, those genuine giggles… I’m not kidding when I say: I might have to print one for my own wall.

Thank you for trusting me Ashton! Even when the day felt imperfect. You reminded me that the most beautiful moments are rarely the scripted ones...and your family showed up exactly as they were, which was perfect.
