Kristen & Patrick’s day had a little bit of everything… laughter, happy tears, little bit of rain, little bit of sun, and one unforgettable celebration!
Their beautiful villa was such a gorgeous spot. From getting ready to their sweet first look by the spiral staircase to cozy family portraits by the fireplace as the rain started and stopped again. The ceremony moved under the reception tent, and honestly, you would never know it wasn’t Plan A. Everyone embraced the weather with smiles, and as soon as the rain let up, we snuck outside for portraits surrounded by the lush gardens.
Cocktail hour brought guests grabbing drinks from the Park & Pour bar truck, enjoying appetizers, and playing corn hole—one of Kristen and Patrick’s favorite games. Dinner was served from food trucks, cupcakes for a sweet treat, and the dance floor stayed full all night long.
Their choreographed first dance was a hit. It was so sweet and full of personality! We laughed through the shoe game, listened to heartfelt speeches that spoke so highly of the incredible lives they’ve built together, and even managed to photograph every guest with the Kristen and Patrick during a single song. Such a fun game that kept everyone involved!
At night, we took some glowing sparkler portraits with their guests and… a surprise jump into the pool before Kristen wrapped herself in a cozy robe to celebrate the end of an amazing day.
I also have to give a special shoutout to their bridal party and families. They were the kind of people every photographer hopes for—kind, easygoing, full of jokes, and completely unfazed by the weather. The love and admiration everyone shared for Kristen and Patrick, their adventurous spirits, and everything they’ve accomplished together was something really special to witness.
And can we talk about Kristen’s details? Her beautiful sola wood flowers and second floral appliqué veil fit the garden setting perfectly. Every little detail felt so thoughtfully chosen.
Congratulations, Kristen & Patrick! Thank you for trusting me to capture such an incredible day. Wishing you both a lifetime of adventures together. ❤️

Some memories you’ll look back on forever. 🤍

My nephew Zack and his girlfriend Morgan both recently turned 21, and Zack gifted her a photo session 🥹. They have been together since high school, and he asked me to photograph them to celebrate this milestone.

A few years ago, Zack told my husband Ricky that he bought Morgan a bracelet for a gift. Ricky’s response?
“Nope.” 😳😂
His advice was simple: Invest in experience gifts.
That conversation stuck with Zack all these years later, and I love that.

It’s something Ricky and I have always believed, too. We don’t exchange birthday gifts, anniversary gifts, Mother’s Day, or Father’s Day, or Christmas presents. Instead, we choose experiences. We explore a new city, visit museums, go to concerts, find great food, or simply make time for an adventure together.

Those memories have become our greatest gifts.
And photos? They let you relive those moments forever.

So here’s your little reminder: invest in memories. 🤍 They only become more valuable with time.

A little sneak peek from Ava’s 1st Birthday yesterday at Harbor Lights in Warwick, Rhode Island. 🎉🤍

What a beautiful summer day! I loved that the party space gave everyone the option to enjoy both the indoor and outdoor areas. It made for so much variety in the photos, and the waterfront was the perfect backdrop.

One thing I don’t think I’ll ever forget... Ava’s love for pickles! 🥒😂 She was happily eating one and even wanted to share it with me. Everyone was completely smitten with her. You could just feel how loved she is.

At one point, we all started singing Kokomo by The Beach Boys to get her smiling. Safe to say that song stayed in my head the entire drive home. 😂🌴

Sometimes people wonder if it’s worth hiring a photographer for a birthday party or family celebration. After all, everyone has a phone these days.

I completely understand that thought. But here’s the difference... Your family and friends are there to celebrate with you. I’m there to document it all. The hugs from grandparents, cousins playing together, the decorations you spent weeks planning, the candid laughs, the cake-covered smiles, and all of those little in-between moments that happen while you’re simply enjoying your day.

I remember planning Ellie’s first birthday. I was so focused on hosting, talking with everyone, and soaking it all in that I barely took any photos myself. We have a few snapshots, but looking back, I wish I had someone there to tell the whole story.

Whether it’s a first birthday, graduation, retirement party, anniversary, or wedding, these milestones deserve to be remembered. Be present. Celebrate. Let someone else preserve the memories for you. 🤍

I think one of the greatest things about staying in touch with a friend for almost 20 years, is watching them evolve. From working together for a company and helping her with weddings, to creating her own business, owning studios, changing lives and documenting milestones + getting married, moving, having children, and becoming mom - it’s been so beautiful to watch you grow into who you are today. Amanda’s relationship with her family is so fun and playful. I love catching up with them. Such a beautiful family! So proud of you boo! 🐼
