The Patterson-Gimlin film has been debated for nearly 60 years. Some believe it is the best evidence ever captured of Sasquatch. Others believe it was a man in a costume. Recently, new attempts have been made to analyze and debunk the footage using modern technology.
The truth is that no matter what side of the debate you're on, we now live in a world where video evidence alone is becoming less reliable. Advances in AI, CGI, digital editing, and visual effects make it easier than ever to create convincing images and videos. As technology improves, simply showing a video is no longer enough to prove extraordinary claims.
We approach every investigation with the goal of finding facts, not confirming beliefs. We don't set out to prove anything exists, and we don't set out to prove it doesn't. We follow the evidence wherever it leads.
Personally, I believe we've reached a point where no photograph, video, audio recording, footprint, or eyewitness account will ever be enough to convince everyone. The debate will continue indefinitely.
The only evidence likely to settle the question once and for all would be a verified physical specimen — a body, living or deceased — that can be independently examined by scientists, tested through DNA analysis, and studied by the broader scientific community.
Until that day comes, every claim should be examined carefully, every piece of evidence should be questioned, and every investigation should be approached with an open mind and healthy skepticism. -B
