This is one of those moments that stays with me after I leave a shelter.

Someone walks in, and suddenly every dog is at the front of their kennel, just hoping to be seen. They don’t know why that person is there. They just know there’s a chance.

Another day behind the camera with my friends RescueMeATL, giving these pups the exposure they deserve. 📸🐶🫶

45 faces. 45 lives. 45 chances to choose one.

Today I photographed the dogs and cats at Butts County Animal Services, a small rural shelter in Georgia currently caring for more than 45 animals who need homes.

I know we can’t all save 45. But you don’t have to.

Choose one.

One dog. One cat. One life you can adopt, foster, share, or simply help get seen. Look through these faces and don’t just keep scrolling. Pick one and help us tell their story.

With the help of RescueMeATL, we’re doing everything we can to get these animals seen and into the homes they deserve. ❤️🐾

“They’ll get adopted.”

We want to believe it. They’re cute, sweet, good dogs. Surely someone will choose them.

But that’s not always what happens.

Shelters are full of incredible dogs waiting for homes, and sadly, some never make it out.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a dog to your family, visit your local shelter. Meet the dogs. Ask questions. Give one of them a chance to go home. 🐾❤️

And if you can’t adopt, share. The right person may be one share away.
