Every once in awhile, I get a series of pics, where I just sit back and say, now that's cool!
Just enough wind, in just the right direction, the sun shinning off the dust, pretty much edited themselves!

Last night the Southwest Nebraska Kids Rodeo came to Curtis Nebraska where I have been staying and visiting my daughter Alexis this summer. So I grabbed my camera and walked over and asked if they would like me to take pictures for them.
impromptu photo session, but so excited to do it for them.
These young cowboys and cowgirls did AMAZING and I was super impressed with the volunteers and parents who did an amazing job putting it on and taking care of all these rough stock riders!
A little mutton busting, some bull riding and some broncs!

Hey everyone! I swear I didn't disappear! Just have been taking care of what is most important family! but this evening, there was a roping practice going on where I am staying, so I crawled out from under my rock, grabbed my camera and played with my camera for a bit.
It felt good to get back behind the camera and watch everyone work with their horses.
This was the 2nd picture I took tonight, and I don't know it just spoke to me..... I will go through the rest tomorrow.
but I just wanted to say HI and let you know I am still around!
I will be in Nebraska for the next month or two before I head back down to Arizona. I'm trying to beat the heat, but the humidity is YUCK... lol....

I NEVER completely delete any photos I have ever taken.
Many photographers delete photos after a period of time if they have not been purchased.
BUT, as a horse owner and an Equine Photographer for a lot of events I do NOT delete pictures, (hard drives are cheap and don't take up a lot of storage space)
WHY you ask?
Well two or three times a year I get a call from someone who's horse has crossed the rainbow bridge and is out to greener pastures and they would love those pictures for memories.
So, I keep those memories for you until the right time.
I got one of those calls today, and went back through 6 events and pulled all their pictures.
Just ask if you think I may have pictures you might like!

My event calendar is quickly filling up!

This Saturday Sept 23rd I will be in Kingman, Arizona at Kingman Junior Rodeo Association I can't wait to watch all the young cowboys and cowgirls show us how it is done!

Next Saturday Sept 30th I will be in Salome, Arizona at the Red Pony Arena for the inaugural 4-D Barrel Race and Water Balloon Toss Contest. This is a brand new arena and a brand new series! I am excited to have been chosen to be their photographer for the 1st event!
