A snowy, magical, lovely engagement session 🤍

May 5th we thought would be a beautiful sunny & warm spring evening but it had other plans.
This session turned out to be one of the coolest unexpected & stunning twists in weather I have experienced during a session!
❄️ It SNOWED to beat the band for almost our entire session & then at the very end it was the most beautiful golden light.

I figured 10 years into this adventure I ought to do a proper introduction ☺️

My name is Jubilee Joy, owner & operator of Jubilee J Photography ✨

My love for photography began when I was 12 years old & my family bought me my first camera for Christmas. It still is a very special memory to me.
It has been quite the lovely journey.
As of 3 years ago my husband & I moved from North Dakota to the Black Hills of South Dakota.
I am so incredibly grateful for how my business has so naturally unfolded & grown here. 🌲

We have had quite the adventure so far — while building our home from completely raw land, doing absolutely everything ourselves, having 2 babies under 2 & both my husband & I each growing and managing our separate businesses in a new place has been an ABSOLUTELY WILD RIDE 😅💫🏠🏔️

I have many loves and passions but the order would be my Savior Jesus, my husband and two darling babies and then photography 📸
Serving YOU my Clients & Friends…capturing the ever fleeting & precious moments in Your life brings me an incredible sense of purpose and joy.
I show up FULLY & JOYFULLY for all of my clients. Your important days & memories are not something I take lightly. Capturing all the emotions and everything in between is my job, but is more so my joy!

Here are 20 of my favorite images of 2025 ✨😭

It’s all about those moments in the quickness of life that get caught just for that one second.
But in some ways it lives on forever, at least in our hearts ✨
The tiny newborn details that fade way to quickly.
Your toddlers little waddle.
Your favorite person in the whole world asking you to grow old with them.
The strong arms of your husband holding you through the last few days of pregnancy.
The morning reflecting on the day you commit your life to another.
And all the crazy days with your kids running wild on the ranch.
This is life. This is a gift.
